Re: Marching orders from the Deuce to Khan and Tomlin
Justin Fields, I’m against using him in a slash role. I would rather start Justin Fields from day 1 because he’s age 25, he’s got big skills, and I’m not a believer in Russell. Can Fields be the guy, let’s find out. Fields has a great arm and running ability. His struggles involve his progressions a...

Re: Steelers Trade For Justin Fields
There is a lot of highlights and lowlights of Justin Fields on YouTube. But here’s a recent one by former QB Chase Daniel on the positive side of things.

Re: Steelers Trade For Justin Fields
Ok well I straight up like this move. We get Justin Fields for very little and he just turned age 25. He’s got a good arm and he can run. I’m even coming around a little bit on Russell Wilson. I wanted to sign Mason Rudolph, but that has nothing to do with Russ. He was extremely overpaid in Denver. ...

Re: Pickett traded to Eagles
Of all these QBs who are passing through the Steelers revolving door, the one we should have signed who was not expensive was Mason Rudolph. Russell Wilson 5’11” and overrated. If you dig deeper into last season Russell was heavy on short passes in garbage time. Mason was very effective getting the ...

Re: Mason gone?
As I said all along, the Steelers should have signed Mason Rudolph to compete for starter. People remember his early career struggles instead of looking at him right now. He’s a good QB, I’m disappointed they let him go. I live in Colorado. No one here (or in Seattle) believes in Russell Wilson. And...

Re: Rudolph Status
In 4 regular season games, Rudolph had a QB rating off 118.0 which led the league, 3 TD, 0 int. In one playoff game, he threw for 229 yds, 2 TD, 1 int. Bottom line, Mason played too well for the Steelers to keep him. We require far more mediocrity than that. https://youtube.com/watch?v=xpFX7o56cV8

Re: Mace wants another place
Mason Rudolph is underrated on this board. In 3.5 games he had a QB rating of 118.0 which led the league. In one playoff game he had 2 TD, 1 int, and 229 yds in a comeback attempt. Steelers defense lost that game. What does a QB have to do be a starter? If Kenny put up those exact same numbers in th...

After the draft, It does not matter what round a QB or any other player was drafted. It never has. Top QBs right now by rating: Mason Rudolph 115.3, 3rd round Brock Purdy 113.0, 7th Dak Prescott 104.2, 4th Kirk Cousins 103.8, 4th Tua Tagovailoa 103.0, 1st Lamar Jackson 102.7, 1st (32nd pick) CJ Stro...

Cut Mitch Trubisky and give that money to Starter Mason Rudolph. It’s time for Kenny to find his true callling: Steelers backup QB.

Re: Our 3rd string QB is actually the best on the roster?
I’ve been saying this about Mason all season, he has has experience in the system. The team is still a mess but Rudolph had a real nice game throwing great passes and using Pickens the right way. There is a history of QBs who go from backups to starters at around age 28, Warner, Gannon, Plunkett. Ot...

Re: Who To Keep For The Rebuild?
Rebuilding is what teams call it when they suck for 2 to 8 years. No rebuild. You get the best players you can and build your depth chart, with young and older players. It starts with the players we already have. The goal is to win games, not rebuild. The elephant in the room is Mike Tomlin and the ...

They might change it on review. But that was the updated number post-game. I think they gave Heyward credit for the other sack, which is fine.

TJ WATT leads the NFL with 13.5 sacks as Cleveland trails Denver into the 4th qtr. Garrett with 13. The play calling by Mike Sullivan was significantly better than anything Canada ever produced (400 yards). And Eddie Faulkner looked comfortable and in charge. Pickett looked much better. Pickens ego ...

Some of you might remember that I would hype Josh Dobbs all the time, as a guy who had a great arm and mobility and intelligence. So good to see him having success.
Kenny is struggling big time. He’s not in the top tier of Steelers QBs unfortunately.

If the Steelers somehow go 6-3 while being out-gained in literally every game. Then, It’s just getting too weird.

Re: Stats sucked ass until 4th Q, but KP8 had a pretty good game overall.
It’s got to be a record: Steelers 4-2, compared to yards per game.
30th in defense: 383.5 yds per game
31st in offense: 273.5 yds
It’s impressive the Steelers have managed 4 wins, with a 110 yd differential per game. Obviously if we continue to win the yards will balance out.

Re: Fuck it: ask Ben if he’d be the QB coach
The Steelers are 29th in offense, and 29th in defense. We’ve managed 3-2 record with duct tape, silly puddy, and +5 turnover differential. I think Ben would make a fine QB coach or offensive coordinator, although most have to work the their way up in coaching. But I’m not sure this group of coaches ...

Re: If anyone cares. Steelers hoping just a mcl sprain for Pickett
It occurs to me that all 3 of the Steelers QBs are mid range. For all we know, the best QB on the roster could be Mason Crosby.
Is there that much difference between Crosby, Mitch, and Kenny? Do we really know who is the best? It’s difficult to tell with bad coaching and bad offensive game plans.

W&M, Ben obviously was a HOF QB with a long glorious career. I’m not doubting Ben or his performance in 2008. Your comparison of the 2008 O-line with this years line is an interesting one, because that was also a patchwork group. Faneca to the Jets. Didn’t Starks take over tackle mid-season. Who els...

Steelers Offensive Line.
I was talking to someone from another city and they were doubting Kenny and I found myself defending him. And my argument was he’s working through the OC and the offensive line. And then I thought more deeply about the offensive line, player by player. Ben often had 2-3 all-pros on his O-line. Consi...

Re: Player of the Game, POS of the game, best moment
From a character perspective, Kenny is top quality. He’s a leader, he’s willing to work on his game both physically, and mentally. But that’s only 50% of what it takes to be a great QB. When we drafted Kenny I said the probability suggests he would fall in the second tier of Steelers QB, no fault of...
