Re: What Gives Steelers a Better Chance to Win in Playoffs?

If we lose and the rest of the favorites all win, then it looks like the best scenario IMO. I'd prefer to win just to stick it to the Browns, but... in that case, the Colts go to Bills and we replay Browns at home. Ravens @Titans winner to KC. So after beating Browns with our full squad, we either a...

This is a really cool tool - way easier to get a feel for the chances than the ESPN one. Thanks for posting RT!

Don't remember checking this out at this point in the process, but seems interesting to leave blanks... and Ola as ILB, no starting FS or LCB.

Re: You Asshats Won't Give a Shit, but...End of an Era

Obviously, you didn't read and/or comprehend my post. I think the whiners here (and in a likely futile attempt at clarity, not those who criticize any aspect of the team itself) are spoiled ass fans. I'm not satisfied with where we are either, but the tone of this string is how hard it is to be a St...

Thanks a lot B2B. Just looked really suspicious when it happened for them. Our penalty of course looked like doing things how we do. ;)

Re: First drives for both teams - defenders entering late?

Thanks B2B, but it didn't seem like that was the case. The Pats had plenty of time to sub - we subbed early and slowly went to the line when they ran on and the ref intervened.

First drives for both teams - defenders entering late?

Does anyone understand why during our first drive (2nd and goal) the ref ran and stopped us from snapping the ball when the Pats D was late getting on the field so as to allow them to do so? And then on the ensuing Pats drive there is no such effort and of course we got flagged for too many men. Saw...

Re: Steelers at the 3/4 Pole

I always appreciate the perspective and the write up. The Steelers are "who we thought they were". Which is really the problem. With league average discipline, intelligence, etc. this team is a super bowl contender. But unfortunately we're seeing another season of tomfoolery, assholery, a...

Similar boat as you SteelPro - also just cleared the list after 19 years and bought a pair in row V, over in 523. Literally on the aisle between the goal posts. Also live out of town (Denver though), so planning on only catching a couple and selling or donating the rest... So, any SteelerFurians (of...

Interesting note (at least to me :)

The Steeler official roster has everyone that's been cut (even yesterday) still listed, but Coates was gone as soon as this trade broke. Knile Davis is still on there for example. Kind of weird.

Carry on with more important stuff...

Re: Coates traded...

So basically we move up about 50 spots in the draft and one year early to help win while we have Ben. Hopefully some cap space too? We are admitting defeat on the pick, but that's a sunk cost, and we have more than adequate replacements it appears. And as was said earlier, it's better to get somethi...

Agree Scunge - thanks for doing the work here. And to your point Perch, I would disagree with the high and short helps us. I live in fear (not quite, but you know what I mean) of when we "out kick our coverage" - that's when something really bad happens. Any maybe we just have unusually ba...

Maybe we can win more of the other games during the year with him so we get NE at home in the playoffs? Not that that has helped the last two times, but those were a relatively long time ago.

Great points! We have nothing to ever look forward to. It's over. How about some draft analysis now! And on the bright side, we now get a better pick (30) than otherwise, plus we can go to and possibly enjoy a SB party! I know I don't have to keep reading stuff here, so that's on me, but it's been a...
