Re: Full stadiums in September

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued a memorandum on March 13 stating, in part, "Nursing homes should admit any individuals that they would normally admit to their facility, including individuals from hospitals where a case of COVID-19 was/is present." All indicators point to the f...

Re: Full stadiums in September

Yeah. Open business. But if anyone expects the populace of the US to act responsibly, then I have a bridge to sell you. I'll say 70% of the populace is going to act responsibly. 30% will be careless and / or selfish morons. I've posted this before on this board. A retired black cop wrote a piece on...

Re: Full stadiums in September

I think many folks believe this pandemic is over or ending. Far from it. I'm not in the forecasting business. I think if the testing continues to ramp up and we get serious about testing and tracing, we'll be able to control it in the Fall. But much depends on whether people are going to be w...

Re: NHL Proposes 24-Team Playoff

Correct me if I am wrong but can't the players get tested the same day of each game and if they test positive they sit out? If all of them test negative then they should be allowed to play as normal. What am I missing here? You're missing the idea that some tests are false negatives, and that's why...

Re: NHL Proposes 24-Team Playoff

Even if the Pens win, this "CUP Winner" should have an * by it The 24 team format is such a farce and a way to shoe horn in 2 original 6 franchises: Montreal and Chicago. This will be a challenge though because if 1 person tests positive are they going to shut down the other players/teams in contact...

Switzer has taken Ramon's place as Ben's BFF. Ben will not retire until he gets the Switz a superbowl ring. Ben will be getting him the ball early and often this season, you can bet.
Don't you have to be on the field to get the ball?

Re: Harrison says Tomlin handed him envelope after Massaquoi hit

That hit ended football as we knew it. Partly true. That hit occurred on the same weekend that a college football player ended up paralyzed from a tackle that was riddled with poor technique. If those 2 events happen weeks apart I'm not sure we get this wave of public pandering during that season. ...

Re: Harrison says Tomlin handed him envelope after Massaquoi hit

 Really ?!? $75k for a bounty on the Browns slot receiver? Please do not conform to such wild imagination. Terrell Suggs once said in a locker room interview that the bounty on Hines Ward was something like $10k. To consider that the money in the envelope from Tomlin was intended to pay off ...

These rich owners get their stadiums financed by the public. If they don't get their billion dollar handout from the state and local governments in the form of a new stadium, they will move the team. Maybe I’m not up to speed on these stadium deals but but can we really call it a “handout”? Aren’t ...

Republicans hate Socialism, until they need help. Liberals & socialist hate capitalism on camera while using capitalism to enrich themselves off of it. We can tit for tat all day. Re: "Will there be an NFL season?" (NY Times)

If you exclude NY, we haven't even reached the peak yet. Testing is skewing things. Most states are flat or trending down. NY was doing way more testing than other states early on (like 7X more than IL/Chicago). Testing elsewhere has ramped up significantly in recent weeks, so areas showing flat or...

Hospitals issued guidelines that if a patient dies of respiratory insufficiency and ...

BFD the Steelers defense has given up plenty of big games to opposing running backs. Most recently 130 yards to a Raven's backup named Gus Edwards in a must win game to make the playoffs. The Steelers defense was gassed in that game because they had no offense. No QB. No Ben Roethlisberger. Duck Ho...
