Re: Draft Prospect Tiers
Yes, i was just leaving him as 6th year until i see something definitive on age, as i can confirm he is a 6th year college guy. Possible he was in college as a 17 year old, but that’s pretty uncommon. But as above, i’d probably not apply this to oline. Give me accolades + a good timed agility there...

Re: Draft Prospect Tiers
Ok think I finally understand how you’re getting to these—however to use my Leviticus prospect— Hunter Nourzad was 2nd team All-bug ten (I assume you’re not counting FCS all-American), which should put him tier 5. He’s 23, so that makes him a 5th year guy, so add 2. Should be 7th tier. Did I miss so...

Re: SF Podcast: Steelers Mock Draft War Room Parts 1 & 2
Go get Aiyuk! Fuck that Ainias Smith and others are available late Listen, I love the potential of Ainias Smith late... but they are not hanging their Super Bowl or Bust hopes on a 6th round pick coming off a broken leg who ran almost .2 sec slower after the break. If Ben was the QB you could prete...

Re: Draft Prospect Tiers
Too much emphasis on arbitrary accolades and not enough on, say, production or athleticism... but it is an interesting way of looking at it that does reveal why some prospects are viewed as better prospects than others. i think there’s a tendency from draft people to scoff at college accolades, but...

Re: SF Podcast: Steelers Mock Draft War Room Parts 1 & 2
Sometimes we overcomplicate things. I want guys that can run routes, get separation, and have good hands. Ladd or Pearsall can move the chains (something we struggle with of course). Javon is nice but he has concentration and drop issues and lacks top end speed. Would I rather have BTJ or Xavier or...

Re: SteelerFury Mock Draft Contest
I'd have figured just a lurker, but a full-on Trojan horse... out of the box thinking. Not the first time, won't be the last. Just remember we were the first with the draft contest and the first with the Live Mock War Room. It doesn't pay to be first unless you can monetize it it the way he did, bu...

Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
Had to have somewhere to talk about the dang goaltending in the Florida v Tampa Bay game. Total shame one of those guys had to lose. Bobrowsky made the save of the year with a backward flying angel. Also, how can anyone who sees the NHL's #1 PP feed Stamkos over and over for one-timers not think the...

Re: Who is your sprint to the podium?
Agree with that. One of you dudes is going to have to explain Roman Wilson to me. He seems like a super fast guy with good hands but almost nothing else. He is like a alternate universe version of Malachi Corley, who is a big guy with good hands... who does nothing but catch screens and then run li...

Re: Who is your sprint to the podium?
For the first time this draft season I'm starting to move into running to the podium for BTJ category. But, I guess if the goal is to build towards a new QB in 2025, Fuaga/Fatanu/Mims/Barton would all be wonderful choices. They can draft a future WR3 later and get them through 2024. Do you think we...

Re: Who is your sprint to the podium?
Rome Odunze would be it for me if he somehow fell to 20. Anyone else I’m willing to wait on or trade back. Would struggle to trade away from Fuaga. Agree with that. Re: SF Podcast: Steelers Mock Draft War Room Parts 1 & 2
So safe to say we wouldn’t be unhappy if we went Round 1. Top 4 OT; Round 2. Top 3 C; Round 3. Javon Baker? I think Baker is good, but BTJ or Legette or especially Aiyuk is super duper. I can be happy with any of them but I can tell you I'd be nervous as hell after BTJ/Legette/Mitchell all gone... ...

ELITE no chance anywhere near pick 1.20 or a trade up: Malik Nabers Marvin Harrison Jr. Rome Odunze EXTREMELY GOOD. Re: SF Podcast: Steelers Mock Draft War Room Parts 1 & 2
You guys could have nailed this if you would have taken Brian Thomas then grabbed a tackle at 98. They cancelled out RB when they signed Patterson, and Najee's 5th year option is actually a decent value in context of the RB contracts that went out this year. Love Frazier, and Sainristril. David Whi...

I think only 1 guy in this draft has the potential to go in round 1 and that is Barton. JPJ I believe ends up in round 2. If JPJ is a round 1 pick, it'll be at the very end of the round. I don't think Frazier, Van Pran or Nourzad come close to sniffing the first round and really only Frazier has a ...

Re: SF Podcast: Steelers Mock Draft War Room Parts 1 & 2
Pearsall is going to be a 24 year old rookie. For context, 0 of the top 10 WRs in the NFL last season were still playing college football at age 22. Expanding to the top 20 WRs from last season, you get 2 players that were 23 as rookies, and 18 that were younger. Still 0 that were 24 year old rooki...

Hadn’t watched anything of Javon Baker and man…he looks excellent! This one right here... WOWsa What I love most about it is the QB throws it to a sea of nowhere, the camera pans and there's no one there... just when you're thinking he's thrown the game away... in flies Baker: https://www.youtube.c...

Re: SF Podcast: Steelers Mock Draft War Room Parts 1 & 2
I mean, it illustrates how difficult it is to get WR that fits if you miss out in Rd 1. We didn't have a chance to trade down for anything meaningful so the exercise more or less forced us into a narrow window. I planted the seed before we even started that getting a WR was going to be tough if we ...

Re: J C Latham or Graham Barton
You're going to love the Quez Watkins era. I know how much fan of DHB with the ill-timed drops DJ18 you'll be. I expect whichever receiver we take in the second round will be starting opposite Pickens. I could see Watkins being the type of guy who gets beaten out for a job on the 53 by an UDFA, but...

Re: J C Latham or Graham Barton
Feel like the teams that aced us out of starting caliber OCs in FA are hopefully set, and I'd still be surprised if Philly is in the early round market. Definitely concur on how much KC is about to hate Quez "Ultraclank" Watkins, B2B. I was a Quez Watkins fan coming out but he seems to have had a S...
