Re: Updated compensatory pick projections
My concern is if Weidl is gone to Atlanta who is going to be in that draft room with any real reliable player evaluation experience.

Re: Draft
Rodgers came to Pittsburgh for one reason. To play for Mike Tomlin. I think he's probably going to permanently retire, but even if he decides to play again, it won't be in Pittsburgh. You dont think Rodgers would consider playing for McCarthy? The only possible way you'll see Rodgers on a football ...

Re: Draft
They have to be really prudent going forward with player personnel and their expensive contracts. They will have to restructure the top 3 to 5 earners and cut a bunch of fat from the roster. Even if the dead cap space gets ugly. Cut your losses now versus kicking the can down the road any more. Rest...

Re: McDermott fired in Buffalo
Bills won 8 playoff games in 9 seasons, were competitive in every game and that wasn’t good enough for them. Steelers won 0 playoff games in 9 seasons and got blown out even single time, yet were excited to run it back with Tomlin. Bills would be absolute morons to want a clearly inferior coach lik...

Re: This makes my head (and heart) hurt
I agree with Drama McCarthy is the ringer to clear the runway for Flores or someone of similar ilk “You fuckheads want me to hire Fuckface McCarthy ?? I’ll do it. Yes I will. You’re ok with Flores now right ??!! “ I personally cringe at the mire thought of Flores as the HC for the Steelers so let’s...

I realize that would be a very unusual process.
Just spit balling the ‘ducks in a row’ due diligence.

McCarthy as a HC candidate is just due diligence.
Could be he is interviewing as a potential OC candidate as well?
An opportunity for Mike to return to coaching.

Re: I thought teams would kill for Tomlin
I kept hearing that for years…. Tomlin will be in such demand he’ll have the next coaching gig before the ink on the pink slip is dry… And of course who you going to get to replace him. Now it’s well, whoever wants to sign him has to give up money and/or draft picks because the Steelers own his righ...

Re: Trade TJ Watt. Now.
No one [smart] will trade a bazooka Joe piece of bubble gum for watt at this point. Certainly can’t expect a 1st round or 2nd rounder at this point. 3rd rounder seems doable. The guy is on the wrong side of 30 and has his own injury history. Let’s not forget the outrageously overly paid contract for...

Read last night there very well could be 3 to 4 more names added to their interview list. As of right now, today? I personally would hire Klay Kubiak as HC. Now, who the Steelers hire? As of today, my guess…Shula. I believe if they convince him he can run his own show and not have to perpetuate thei...

Re: Possible Head Coach candidates
Of the interview list so far I like Shula. Shula is being projected as one of the early front runners for them. The scuttle out there is the Shula/Scheelhaase interviews are strategically as a duo. If true, Shula for HC brings Scheelhaase in for his OC. Certainly an interesting projection as a kind ...

Re: Will Howard??
Makes good business sense to hold competition and as most here say, see what Howard has. Doesn’t mean we should stick it out with a known weakness tanking for a better draft selection either. It’s almost a certainty there will be another F/A QB brought in. Gotta have at least 3 QB’s in season. Also,...

Doubt he would be at the Steelers pick especially with the anemic qb depth. I chose LB Arvell Reese.
