There is a silver lining here. McCarthy isn’t going to be here for 10+ years. It’s a baby step toward viewing the HC in a modern lens and not being beholden to keeping him out of traditions of only have 3 (now 4) coaches since 1969.

I think it’s less a factor with the QBs and more a potential factor for the kickers. Fairbairn has a pretty sketchy track record in late season games and playoff games on the road.
