Re: Bungles vs Stains

Jonah Williams is not having himself a good game. Since the second drive the Bengals have put a TE next to him. They even went heavy on his side on a run with a second TE.
He is a RT at best and as long as the Bengals think he can be the answer at LT he is going to get Burrows hit, hard and often.

Re: Steelers need to find a Tackle and Maybe G

Haven't rewatched the game but Feiler did stand out to me as well. I think b2b is right in that he has the tools to develop into a pro bowl caliber guard. He certainly is a big upgrade(physically) over Foster. I would hate to lose a player like that coming into his prime. Then you have Pouncey who l...

Re: Early Games Week 1

Beautiful sequence for the Browns: Beckham drops a wide open pass on 3rd & 2. Missed FG. Ravens score a TD before the half. Oh, and Balt gets the ball in the second half. You had to see it to believe it. The Browns secondary can't cover anyone. Tight box in the endzone and they let Andrew's work th...

Re: Injuries across the NFL...

Tuit had hernia surgery between his sophomore and junior season and it limited him big time that last year. He had something like a dozen sacks his sophomore season. He was rated a top 15 pick but the subpar junior season pushed him into the second round. You run to the podium when a player of his t...

Re: Flyers Suck

Maybe it's the way all the pundits have been talking about his return, but I could have sworn Stamkos had played this post season. Oh well....apparently they didn't need him last night. Yeah, TB looked great last night and Kucherov isn't close to 100% which is scary. About this time in the playoffs...

The Bolts got by Boston without Stamkos as well.

If the Isles win the cup they tie the Pens and Edmonton with 5.

Re: Flyers Suck

As Pens fans I'm not sure mocking the Flyers is just considering they had a better regular and postseason than the Birdies. We are clinging to a two year window and they have a lot of young and upcoming talent. One of these days they are finally going to get it right, hopefully not in my lifetime th...

Re: Cut down Day?

Pabst posted earlier that three teams starting NT's opted out for the season. Slim pickings are a possibility. Anyway, the Steeler go with that 2 DL' defense a great deal. I was looking forward to seeing what Carlos Davis could do in preseason. Someone reported on here early in the week that it was ...

Brady has alot of weapons surrounding him.
How is that OL?
Is their defense championship capable?
Brady should help because he gets the ball out quicker.
Ali Marpet is a good one and Wirfs should be an upgrade at RT.

I think scunge is correct in that Fournette won't be much in pass pro.

Re: Cam Heyward Breaks Down Effort, Defeating Blocks & Point of Attack

And that player is in the probowl... The idea is for Heyward to get his arm extended and inside on the jersey. If he can do that while the G/T is back pedaling he can negate their leverage and balance. Heyward spoke of that and how he uses his long arms. I suspect he has a good idea of the OL men he...

Yeah, that was good stuff.
He uses that stiff arm, bullrush so well. Takes away any leverage the OL player might have had.

And the Bengals OL is terrible.

Yeah, I get that Kapenen is going to get a shot on the top six, probably penciled in there now. I think if he doesn't impress Sully then I see the scenario that Ice alluded to happening. As far as JJ and next season, someone is going to have to go to his house and take him out, for good. The plan is...

So we gave up the 15th pick and a prospect for a guy who ultimately might be a bottom six forward?

I agree that neither are untouchable. Only Sid is and if he leaves it is because he wanted to. I'm just pointing out how tough it is to trade guys like them.
