Re: Is Ben's throw in Super Bowl 43 the best throw in NFL history?

Given the context best throw ever. Eli’s was a great PLAY because he was damn near sacked by 3 defenders and for a guy that never really scrambled that well in the pocket to emerge like that and make the throw to Tyree was damn impressive. And they ripped the perfect season from Brady & Co.’s hands....

Re: McFadden 2005 divisional game @ Indy

I was a fan of Bettis but that dumb fall backwards bullshit he pulled at the end of his career was terrible to watch. And it damn near cost us a Super Bowl on that carry.

Great plays by McFadden.

Re: Full stadiums in September

I wouldn't call the beach crowds "massive" this weekend. It was responsible and distanced here, and was monitored. Our short term rental ban and quarantine for out of state travel ends June 1st, so we'll see if folks from other states come down and act foolish. That will trigger both ban and quaran...

MNF...Vick and Le’Veon Walk Off Game

Anyone else watching this from 2015? Holy shit this was brutal to watch. Fun ending but 3 quarters of some of the worst offensive football you will ever see.

Just peaked the schedule...um, with this defense and these weapons (and no Brady in Foxboro), how in the hell are we not battling the Ravens and Chiefs for the one seed???

DONT fuck this up, Tomlin.

Re: We Went for Winston

He’s not “that good”. He’s a turnover prone passing machine that is really bad in a lot of ways, and really good in others. Or pretty much what you want as a backup QB. That list of available back ups gets really damn short when folks start getting nit picky about what they require in a back up. Win...

Re: We Went for Winston

I think my Google news feed linked an article to the Trib.

Y’all are funny. Is Winston a great QB? Hell no. Is he capable of leading an offense to score touchdowns? Yes he is. Did you watch Mason and Duck last year? God help us if that is the depth chart next season.

Re: We Went for Winston

To turn down more money to be in the same position (backing up HoF QB), it seems to he made the decision based on the fact that his road to becoming a starter again is waaaaay shorter in NO than PIT.

Ben plays another 3-4 years

vs.

This is Brees’ last season as a matter of fact.

And he turned us down for the Saints. Oh well. Apparently we offered more money but he didn’t want to come to the Burgh.

Must say I really like that the FO attempted to get him. On to the next one.

We really need to hit on these picks this week. No bullshit from Tombert. I’m starting to think Chinn @ 49 and some combination of WR/RB by the 6th round.

I’m all for speed. We don’t really have any on this team.

I really hope we get speed at WR and RB this draft; that’s my dream scenario.

Speed WR
Speed RB
NT
OL
S
ILB

That would be a solid pull for this draft.

Yeah, good point. Like, would you spend a 4th round pick to get Fournette, the pick that could be used for a guy like Darrynton Evans or Antonio Gibson?

Why am I reading that him to the Steelers makes sense? Does it make sense? Is he affordable? Does this kill our RB draft need? Does sports journalism suck?

Re: SF Podcast PREDRAFT EXTRAVAGANZA 7-Rnd War Room

That was sweet. And I liked the draft altogether. Question though; if we didn’t pick Evans where we did and instead picked a WR in that spot, would we be able to get Evans in the 4th? And if so, what WR are you taking there instead?

Re: Submit Your Top Three Choices for Steelers pick in Mock Draft

I worry about Pittman’s ability to separate. We need a burner. Pittman is impressive but we cannot have 3-4 of the same kind of WR on the team. We need a dude who will strike fear in the hearts of defenses. Take a shot at Higgins even though he needs work?

Re: RB at 49

We’ve actually been drafting the wrong RBs. Tell me, now that Brady is gone, the team we need to contend with until Ben retires is likely the Chiefs. Have the Chiefs wasted any top draft picks on RBs? Waiting... Smart teams are picking legit RB prospects later in the draft. You don’t need one anymor...

Great story about Hossa. Well, he got his later on. Fleury was really good in the last two games, the biggest of his career. I watched game four from the series last week and I had forgotten what a beast Malkin had been in that game. Ditto for game six. The Wings got the matchup of Datsyuk and Zett...

I watched this game a few weeks ago. It was on NBCSports. On the biggest stage, MAF was incredible. Might have been his best game as a pro, all things considered. Maxime Talbot...unlikely hero. Then he bailed for PHI and that was that. I may have told this story before, but two days after that game ...
