Good. Maybe we can get a DC that doesn't play off coverage down 2 TDs with 10 minutes left.

Might have to, I don't like any of the prospects in this draft. Indiana Kid is alright, but not worth trading the kitchen sink for.

If Howard sucks and Steelers have a Browns season, sobeit. Rather that, than getting obliterated in the first round of the playoffs after another rinse repeat season.

I still think Marcus Freeman somehow ends up the Steelers next coach.
Why?

They haven't even asked to talk to him.
They can't really, at least not publicly. It would be awful for recruitment for Notre Dame.

Re: The Monkey In the Room

Steelers may have intentions of competing for a SB, however, as the roster is currently constructed and with a new coach coming in. Even if they want to keep that intent, it seems highly unlikely they will be able to do so. Also, what coach is going to want to come in and step in the role of manager...

Harbaugh had a SB roster for at least 4 seasons. He made 1 AFCCG and his team choked. Then underwhelmed in the playoffs routinely. His teams also lost so many double digits leads it became a parody. Ravens also lost to our PS when the Steelers had fill in the blank crappy Qb and one decent WR: Pick...

Gainwell is only one worth keeping. Though given his season and if wants to go to a contender, who knows Steelers might be able to squeeze a 4 or 5th rounder out of a trade.

RBs are not hard to find. The rest of that FA list ...is straight trash.

Sure, he was a good coach, but it became stale and failing in the playoffs so many times...he had to go. The need to demonize him to the point of internet meme pettiness .... some folks on this board seriously need to step away and go touch grass. I will miss him, as I still miss BC. Hire Shula and ...

Can someone clarify...Is DK's contract still voidable? If so, send him packing. The Cowboys are stupid enough to trade for Watt. May only get a 3rd but that would be a huge win. I'd shop Queen too. Can’t cut some players due to their contracts. The dead money would kill this team’s cap for several years. I want to immediately cut both heywards , Queen, j smith and trice. When Rams hired McVey, almost without exception everyone in the analyst world, said "Who the fuck is that?"

Steelers have a decent track record of picking a young HC. It is one the few things I trust them to do well.

In the off chance Tomlin decides to step away, because we know he won’t be fired, here are some good HC candidates Jesse Minter - Chargers DC He’s taken the Chargers defense with similar skill to the Steelers and actually created a suffocating defense. Everyone is interviewing Klint Kubiak... From a Seattle Seabirds blog: Kubiak isn't just an example of one-year greatness. He has been an OC twice before in the NFL, and his teams were productive before they were mangled by injuries. That didn't happen with the Seahawks in 2025, and people saw what...

Cam Heyward will probably retire. He is borderline HOFer. He was a top 5 dlineman in the NFL this season. CH will be badly missed. Unless PS get lucky w/a draft pick and Harmon/Benton take a massive leap the dline is going to get pounded next season. TJ needs to be traded. Let him go to a contender....

It will take 5 years to even get this team back to contending for the AFCN. Ravens obviously are the #1 HC job. Steelers might be the worst - inheriting a team with no QB of the future, historically expensive and old ass defense, cupboards bare of talent. 21st pick in the draft... Talk about a shit job. Only thing going for the Steelers is the "prestige" of the franchise, ...

Those are some seriously bad season enders. Steelers recent playoff ineptitude "could" be largely blamed on post Ben QB play and having to play on the road. Even the Cowher Steelers were rolling into the playoffs with O'Donnell, Kordell, Maddox etc. What is the Ravens excuse? Not sure they run it b...
