Re: Steelers Broncos 1997- GREAT GAME

Great find, thanks for sharing. I couldn't remember much about that game other than that the Steelers won, and Terrell Davis was kept under 100 yards.

Definitely one of Kordell's better games. He accounted for all 5 touchdowns.

Re: JuJu working on a "revenge body"

2019 saw the offense lose 2, if not 3, generational superstars if one counts Bell's potential to return during his holdout weeks as a motivating factor to achieve without him for those in the 2018 huddle. For 2020, a return of developed talent to the most important position in professional sports (q...

Connor, Samuels, Snell, McFarland to start the season would seem to be the leading hypothesis. McFarland hopefully proving his gamebreaker abilities on kick returns.

Re: Harrison says Tomlin handed him envelope after Massaquoi hit

 Really ?!? $75k for a bounty on the Browns slot receiver? Please do not conform to such wild imagination. Terrell Suggs once said in a locker room interview that the bounty on Hines Ward was something like $10k. To consider that the money in the envelope from Tomlin was intended to pay off a...

Re: Can Diontae Johnson be a #1 receiver film session

That was an insightful breakdown of some of Johnson's 2019. The Steelers absolutely have something to be excited about with DJ! Year 3 is traditionally thought of as the time for players, especially receivers, to make the leap into the fulfillment of expectations. With Ben in the fold at full streng...

I don't know much about him, but won't decide based on the fact he fucked the steelers in more than one game. CORE, your take on Fournette is likely the overwhelming majority in terms of caring about how he played a key role in destroying the Steelers 2017 season. Most fans could likely NOT care le...

Re: Steelers RB Group Overview

Watching the highlight videos of Whyte and McFarland, Whyte looks to be about a half step faster. McFarland runs more compact from my perspective, and looks like he not only has a better build than Whyte, but a solid one which given his compact running style should allow him to endure hits better. W...

Re: Leonard Fournette

In theory adding a player in his contract year makes a lot of sense, because those players frequently perform well enough to earn themselves a big payday. And, taking advantage of a team which is looking to get what it can for a once promising star would make the deal even more attractive. In princi...

Re: Steelers signing xfl sack leader Cavon Walker

It would help football as an enterprise if several of the XFL players could catch on somewhere in the NFL. It would serve to validate those XFL roster spots as real employment with growth potential, while also serving to encourage the development of professional football as an industry. At this poin...

Re: The QB elephant in the room

There is quite a bit of team capital (salary cap / draft value) presently invested in the QB position as the roster sets. Adding Newton, Winston or Dalton would look like a hedge towards expecting the worst, rather than hoping for the best. Mason showed well enough in his final performance to earn a...

Re: Steelers Trade for DL Wormley from the Rats

He only has to outperform LT Walton for this deal to be good. He’s not a Hargrave. He’s a run-stopping, 5-tech, 2-gap 3-4 DE. And he’s very good at it. You are right to point out that he is not a Hargrave. Tyson Alualu has been one of the team's better free agent signings of the past 5 seasons. If ...

He is young, and his motivation factor could seemingly not be any higher given that this is the final year of his first contract and he must prove himself to a new team. Independent of whether he can match Hargrave's physical talent or abilities on the DL, it looks like the Steelers will have a lot ...

Any list with of “greats” that has Wallace but no Stallworth or Swann for that matter isn’t a very good list. It's not THAT crazy, if we're talking Wallace as the 2nd receiver. A competitive argument for any of those guys over Wallace is warranted. Selecting only 8 players is a fun challenge to have.

Wallace's unparalleled speed was always a fantastic element that he added to the team.

All of the receivers mentioned, Harrison included, were for around a 5 year clip the top player at the position. Exception of Rice of course who is in a class of his own. The classic inability to compare players of different eras applies here, imo, because of how quickly the scope of the game change...

As a fan of the Steelers for the past 10 years, this looks great! If the players were able to get reduced punishment for marijuana use, that would be super too. The Jets aren't without an excuse here. They attempted this with Santonio and it was a similar result. He was not nearly the player he was with the Steelers, and Mark Sanchez was no Big Ben. Expecting Bell to perform behind the offensive line of the Jets the way he did behind the offensive line of t...
