Re: J C Latham or Graham Barton
If they get Latham in the 1st, that would open up the option to shift Daniels to center, and then look for Cooper Beebe or Zak Zinter later for the vacated right guard slot.
The above would add a lot of beef to the run game.

We can hope that article is accurate about Jefferson's impact, and that he will be less like A. Robinson II from a season ago, and more like Jerricho Cotchery the year he had 10 TDs.

So next year we're going to have Russ Wilson or Justin Fields throwing to Cord Patterson, Van Jefferson, and Quez Watkins? The 2024 Steelers offense will seem like what you get when you do a full-league re-draft in a game of Madden  Le'Veon Bell Cordarrelle Patterson Quez Watkins Van Jefferson...

The Steelers had their OL coach and an area scout at Washington's pro day. Troy Fautanu is an older prospect (will turn 24 in October), but checks a lot of other important boxes.

Re: Pickett traded to Eagles
I am actually disappointed. Not in the Steelers, but in Pickett. He had just witnessed Rudolph emerge from the proverbial bottom of the barrel to be a season saver and fan favorite. Pickett would have had much more going for him during his bench tenure than Mason did. Good that he is gone though if ...

Helps to fill out the roster.
Probably does not preclude them from drafting a player like Cole Bishop, or another SS prospect they may like, should Day 3 value present itself.
Day 1 or Day 2 looks doubtful, imo.

Re: FA signings - Still available
God, I hope not. Why not? He's fine as a temporary stop-gap if he comes on the cheap. Edmunds looks alot different if you judge him as a spot-starter / role player rather than a 1st round pick. The main reason: because him being back stops us from getting better in the S room. Minkah is a star that...

Safety? Minkah’s body breaking down. Kazee also has a proven fragility Kam Curl and Justin Blackmon a couple of the bigger names still out there. Jordan Fuller a Buckeye Tomlin no doubt familiar with I could get behind Kam Curl. Can see how that could make sense. Would like to see Minkah have a rel...

Re: Patrick P on being released by Steelers
During his playing days, Joey Porter was one of the Steelers’ best emotional leaders. He was not as effective as a coach. Some guys do not translate their same leadership skills from the field to the chalkboard. There are 3 CBs on the team with only 1 year of professional football under their belts,...

Re: Diontae Johnson & a 7th traded to Carolina for CB Donte Jackson & a 6th
I don't like this trade....while all of the specific criticims of Diontae are true, I think he was a very good route runner and made some very big plays. Was my initial reaction as well, for the same reasons. Guy has been a target hog and a reliable source of production when on the field. Still, li...

I dunno 41M for a 24 year old anchor MLB in the best defense in football last year, that doesn’t seem that crazy to me. But there are smarter dudes on here then myself, including you Drama, when it comes to this stuff. I like the idea of him and Roberts punishing guys out there. MLB has been a sore...

Re: FA signings - Still available
As long as Watts can 2-gap, that is fine to re-sign him. Have to have at least one NT on the roster who can consistently drop anchor and hold the line if necessary. A'Shawn Robinson should be an option. He gives off a bit of a Flozell Adams vibe about him. Adams was a quality FA addition for the Ste...

Re: Steelers sign Justin Simmons?
Word at the combine was that the rest of the NFL was not overly enamored with how the Steelers / Kahn did business. Perhaps it had to do with wanting to stand by contracts as much as possible. That is a lot of upfront coin for a guy on the other side of 30. So, the Steelers are known for paying out...

Re: Go get Russell Wilson
Jalen McMillan's return to the Huskies for the Apple Cup (Washington State) really elevated the offense. He helped to make the difference in getting Washington past Oregon again, and crushing the dreams of the Longhorns' faithful in the Sugar Bowl. Far too much talent on the Michigan front 7 to make...

McMillan (Slot WR) and Van Pran-Granger (C) are intriguing Late Day 2 / Early Day 3 targets. Matt Lee (C) had some impressive tape against the talented Clemson Tigers' front this past season. Tanor Bortolini (C) wowed at the combine with his athleticism. Center may be something they look at Day 3 de...

Re: Cheap Ass Rooneys
Aren't the Steelers one of the more reliable franchises when it comes to paying out on their contracts? Like players are more likely to see the majority of the money they sign for, as opposed to other franchises that will sign a guy for a large figure, pay him 1/2 the amount over a couple of seasons...

Keisean Nixon definitely has appeal. Overall though, would prefer them not to do a dumpster dive for a FA CB. I am warm to the idea of a Terrell Edmunds reunion for safety, and to leave veteran Patrick Peterson at CB. Do you see Trice being a SS, a big nickel, a slot, an outside CB, or a non-factor...

Absolutely exercise the option if it were up to me. Najee Harris has always been a team first kind of player. Much more saying "wo" to that dog than "sic'em." The emergence of Jaylen Warren has allowed Harris to stay more fresh, enabling Naj to be a more effective power back, clock killer and late g...

I am a fan of Corley in the draft. Otherwise, I would just hit the Fa market. I like Corley as well, but question his fit given how much of his work came from the slot. He and Xavier Legette both look to have enticing upside, but Legette would get my vote right now if they were both still on the bo...

Re: Wide Receiver
Gabe Davis is a player of interest to me. Some of the WR plan hinges on how sold the team is on Pickens’ ability as a #1 (think Brown, Diontae Johnson, Hines), or is he more of a #2 (think Wallace, Holmes, Plex). If they think George can be a #1, then maybe they grab a guy who they like as a #2, who...
