Re: Steelers Camp in Latrobe looking doubtful

Farmers markets down my way have been, both thankfully, and, as you mentioned, logically, open the whole time. I think, on balance, small businesses, be they the farmers at the market, the brewers where I go for beer, the restaurants doing curbside, what have you, have been doing a far better job of...

Re: A Steelers preview and prediction

I was at the Cueto game for the Buccos, and dad let me stay up for the 1992 NLCS debacle. My two Pirates playoff memories that stick. Too cool... Luckily, I'd been watching Steelers games with dad my whole short life at that point, so I was prepared for the late-inning profanity. He completely lost...

I think it may have been out for a little while (the info that is), but DK just posted a couple quotes on it.

Steelers Camp in Latrobe looking doubtful

Sad news for tradition, the Steelers, the fans and certainly the town of Latrobe, which could sure have used the tourism bump to local businesses.

Re: A Steelers preview and prediction

As currently structured, as soon as Ben goes down, we instantly become worse than Cleveland and Detroit. Tomlin did a pretty great job holding the ship above water for that 8-8 finish last season.

Re: Can Diontae Johnson be a #1 receiver film session

So, vast knowledge of human genetics is why you have come to the conclusion that a slow, unathletic 5'3" 135 pound player is the ideal NFL WR for the Steelers? Or perhaps you felt the lumps on Shitzer's skull. Or, you know...he’s just trolling and believes none of that. Just saying. Oh, I think his...

Re: Steelers RB Group Overview

Canada was around for some of Conner's tenure at Pitt, if I'm not mistaken. And hey, I never said he's an All Pro, sir; just the closest thing to a proven asset in the position group, and certainly the guy that's going to get the lion's share of the carries this year. Tomlin likes his feature backs.

People can bitch, moan, post about others being ignorant or stupid etc for wanting to get back to normal. But some people choose to wear a mask. I adamantly say wearing masks is fucking stupid. Keeping people locked inside is fucking stupid. Been working thru this entire pandemic and now that the s...

I agree no reason to look at Rosen he no better than Mason or Paxyton
At least Rosen threw two or three pretty passes a game to tease you with. That's two or three better than Bibberty. God knows about Paxton.

Re: NHL Proposes 24-Team Playoff

Somewhere, Cor, Swiss and Tex, Gord Downie is looking down and smiling. I'd wonder if the expert simulations were factoring in the fully healthy Pens lineup (bummer if no Letang; for all the gaffes, he generates offense and drives possession), or the one that was limping listlessly towards the end a...

Re: NHL Proposes 24-Team Playoff

Even if the Pens win, this "CUP Winner" should have an * by it The 24 team format is such a farce and a way to shoe horn in 2 original 6 franchises: Montreal and Chicago. This will be a challenge though because if 1 person tests positive are they going to shut down the other players/teams in contac...

Re: NHL Proposes 24-Team Playoff

First round opponent, the Habs. We've done pretty well against them. Guentzel back will certainly make our full strength lineup a handful on offense. We'll need some timely goaltending and defense, but it's as good a healthy roster as there is in the field. Pittsburgh is one of the sites considered ...

Re: Full stadiums in September

Restaurants remain a VERY iffy proposition for dine-in, probably the riskiest idea. If beachgoers are responsible, or you go at the right times, beaches and camping are probably best recreational bets at this point. Didn't have any fireworks displays in DE, but when you look at the massive budget cu...

Re: Full stadiums in September

I wouldn't call the beach crowds "massive" this weekend. It was responsible and distanced here, and was monitored. Our short term rental ban and quarantine for out of state travel ends June 1st, so we'll see if folks from other states come down and act foolish. That will trigger both ban and quarant...

Re: Full stadiums in September

We don't have an NFL team, but public gatherings in DE, as of June 1st, are capped at 250, and those need a permit. I can't believe a reasonable governor would sign off on one of 60,000 at this point, that far ahead of time. It's nice to be upbeat and all, and I know we all want sports, but this is ...

Well said, Zabo. I'm feeling positive, too, but I'll once again reiterate that Perch has McFarland pretty well nailed. Extremely feast or famine and needs to be gameplanned and utilized as such. A bounce back year from Conner, as much as folks are down on the guy, is probably the key to the group in...

Now they all want to "tell it like it is," though. Unless it involves them negatively and directly, "no comment" from political leaders is on hiatus.
