Re: Trevor Rumors?
I've hated overrated Tregolas Lawrence since he came out of HS. If they did this, I'd definitely go immediately into Steeler fan retirement for the duration. Just keep Fields. He spanked his ass in the CFP, has comparable career stats, and doesn't look like a frickin elf.

Exactly.
You could actually add Duck and Bibberty to this list from the season they were alternating, too.

Re: Question for outta towners
Born in Shadyside Hospital, moved to STD's stomping grounds when very young, but Steelers (and all Pittsburgh pro sports) fandom was a family thing, passed down from Dad and his side of the family, who've had season tickets from Forbes Field till present day. I'd be willing to bet the family pass do...

Re: 14.2 Points Per Game Average in 2024
And that's with a couple of genuinely high scoring games thrown into the average for the first time in a few years. Awful stat to see. I only did the last 5 games on purpose. Those high scoring games were outliers. If you start telling everyone that they had 14.2 I think it is accurate sentiment, b...

Got really lucky with Graham falling in this scenario or I would have traded down. 21. NFL-team-logo Mason Graham DT Michigan 52. Isaiah Bond WR Texas 83. TreVeyon Henderson RB Ohio State 126. Ricky White WR UNLV 163. Justin Walley CB Minnesota 192. Kamren Fabiculanan S Washington 225. CJ West DT I...

Re: Steelers Off-season
The question you should ask is how many OLDER generation Steeler fans are becoming Eagles fans? I did think of that but at this point most of us are not ditching the Steelers, but I bet some older not so invested fans prob would I'll never root for another team. I'll just stop following the NFL at ...

The next one, Mason Graham fell to 21, changed my math a little. Speaking of things that won't happen.
Hurt a little bit hitting the draft button, but I closed my eyes and thought of the Natty.

With a trade-down. Starting to identify some guys in some rounds that I like (other than Buckeyes, which are likeable in every round 8-) ), and possibly coming around to the idea that Dart might be this year's version of Bo Nix (guy I didn't get a great vibe about who turned out to be a pretty servi...

Re: Quick Mock Out of Super Bowl Week Boredom
Hurts had his tour at Oklahoma where, at least in a slightly gimmicky offensive scheme in a league without D, he could check enough of the passing boxes to be an NFL QB over the course of a season of games. Milroe is definitely another prospect The Leader of Men could fall in love with and pick, tho...

Milroe would be a fun combination of of the Najee (Bama guy overdrafted) and Kenny (QB nobody wants) meltdowns. A judicious melding of catastrophe, if you will.

Hadn't seen him mocked, and the last year we pretty much all agreed it'd be dumb for the Steelers to take a QB anywhere near the top of their draft... they took a QB in the first.

Quick Mock Out of Super Bowl Week Boredom
Used PFN Simulator, which kinda sucks, but I'm bored. Did a slight R2 trade down to pick up a 4th. 1.21 B. Morrison, CB ND: Joey Jr. needs help, and might be better suited to a #2 if Morrison develops. Develops. Who am I kidding? 2.59T J. Dart, QB, Ole Miss: Probably the 3rd QB, Tomlin and Co. could...

Mega Props to Langer for the arcane SCTV Perry Como reference. The most underrated show in history. RIP Joe Flaherty, West Mifflin misses you. You KNOW I'm down with this. The speed and big play ability of the skill positions doubles or quadruples, we get the legit ground game home run hitter to run an effectual run-heavy offense that actually threatens opponents, and, maybe not statistically important, but those first two are highly motiv...

Was rooting for K9 Mumpfield to have a good night after some pretty positive practice results this week, and he was getting some nice releases and looked to be open a bit, but their QB play was so awful that it was to no avail. He was a fun player to watch at Pitt, good character guy and a leader, a...

Be interesting to see what the Pats do with Milton. In limited time, I'd say he flashed as much as Maye did with the time each had factored in.

Yes but unlike Mike Tomlin, he is actively trying to get better. And not scared to employ a pretty well-regarded coordinator. I honestly have no clue what PSU has returning. I think I saw they return like 14 starters. What do they have returning at safety? Knowles scheme requires 3 safeties and eve...

Sad thing is, while slightly more specific, the five threads underneath this one (and maybe the podcast, too) could all just be folded into this general topic. Such is life in purgatory.

Re: The Valley is Happy
I'll add that Knowles did either zero or next to zero on the recruiting front. Add that to his issues with Johnson, who's been an incredible recruiter, along with having been there forever (after spurning PSU, incidentally), and that's why that struggle shook down the way it did. Until this season, ...

Unfortunately, TB, there's gonna likely be a couple or three weeks next year where I inevitably get suckered in if the season follows its usual cycle. Not sure I'm going in with my customary cautious optimism, though. I'm not big on the game threads, anyway, though. I’m not going to any games, buyi...

Hopefully IU keeps it up and builds themselves into another legit B1G threat. Great for the conference if it happens. Hard to believe when I heard how long it had been since it'd been back to back B1G National Champs. Iron, as they say, sharpens iron.

Re: OSU-ND
As an Ohio State fan I agree that the Michigan loss was awful. That being said, it's a rivalry and Michigan's defense is built to face OSU. It was also only a three point loss and their only other loss was by one point on a "neutral" field to the number one team in the country. OSU would beat India...
