So it was AB, the lunatic run out of town by MANY teams, let's not forget that shitshow at the Raiders, and not Tom Brady, the GOAT, that changed the culture of the entire organization.

Seems plausible Larry.

Re: JJ Watt to be released

Not brother, both brothers. You wouldnt want to play with your brothers, on a team that was 11-0 before the wheels came off, how cool would that be for a tight knit family. I guess it may depend on what TJ and Dereks assessment of the team is, if TJ is telling JJ, look man, we were right there exce...

So, would we move JJ to OLB, or cut/trade Tuitt?

Re: Arians talks about dismissal from Pittsburgh...yep, you guessed right

The Jacksonville game was probably the 2nd or third greatest game of his career. The mistakes-- if you can call getting strip-sacked by a blind side LB on a free rush a mistake––against the NFL's #1 defense weren't nearly enough to lose that game. It's hard to claim that with the turnovers. His gre...

Re: JJ Watt to be released

He’s said he doesn’t care about the money, he just wants to go to a team that wins. And the sad part is, the poaster who said TJ will probably follow JJ to a good team next year is probably dead-on. We'll cut the lesser Watt, and someone will sign him with brother JJ with an eye to get TJ next year...

The OL potentially has some decent/good pieces for the future. But the success we had in the recent past wasn't just Munchak - Haley and the RB coaches were all working together on that. We have a bunch of young unproven coaches there now, and the HC isn't one that's makes me confident it will work.

I had tried to forget what a paycheck thief Pouncey had become for the last several years, until the fuckhead started.... wait for it ....a fucking HOME PLAYOFF GAME by literally, by himself, gifting the hated Browns a free 7 points. To be fair, Ben or JuJu should have easily recovered it except th...

Except for we didn't have all of them. Bell came in less than 100%, tapped out after 9 snaps, tried to play on the next series, left after two more snaps. Oh man, was that the year Tombert never bothered to find a capable backup for Bell? I think they grabbed some guy off the street because all we ...

I seriously doubt that Canada hired the new quality control coach. I would think hiring on to the coaching staff would fall under the head coaches job description.
I'm sure Tomlin interviewed the guy and signed off. But I'd suspect it was the only interview Tomlin conducted for the position.

If you want someone to come in, take ownership of something and work pretty independently (e.g., OC where you plan to just focus on defense/ST), there 100% look for the best track record available. Arians never adapted his scheme to that OL. It might have been very different with the OL in place shortly after he left. But I also remember that his playcalling wasn't great, and he didn't seem to scheme guys open, either. He continued to get his QB's murdered in IND and ARI. Luck put up a lot of ...

The Steelers have as good a chance at re-signing Dupree, as Dwayne Haskins does of being All Pro this year. They could also find a way to tag him again. Keep the window open one more final year. Or attempt to preserve mediocrity into the foreseeable future [which most poasters here seem to be cucko...

Do we want to leave a pretty talented team to Mason, Dobbs and Haskins? Vegas odds have PIT at #11. In my mind, that's probably about right. A potential contender with some holes. And I'm simply saying Tomlin sucks on offense in today's NFL when you cannot have a HC that sucks on that side of the football. Or at least know how to stay our of your own way. There is ZERO consternation about being able to pay Watt and Dupree. Almost every big contract on this team is up this year and next. Ben came back this year saying he wanted to win a super bowl with the defense the Steelers had and get a super bowl win for Pouncey. I think it's safe to say Ben doesn't think he can't win a super bowl with Tomlin as HC. And some of this board's most esteemed poasters finally acknowledged Tomlin ne...
