In what is increasingly likely a dead end season.....

3 Games of Finney at center should seal his fate in Pittsburgh

I think Feiler DD Pouncey Banner Villy Gray Chuks Morris probably has the makings of a good OL unit.

More and more I think Foster will be cut in a cap move although I wouldnt rule out him be re-signed at a lower cost

The OL has done OK so far contrary to popular nonsense here.

When your QB and WRs cant make opposing Ds back off 8-9 in the box no OL is gonna look good to the amateur eye.

Didn't you predict 11-5 and playoffs in another thread?

Prior to Pouncey suspension and perusing the injury report.....yes

No Ben Tuitt for the year
Pouncey out for the next 3
Ola DJ JuJu Conner Snell out for at least 1-2

I think this team might beat the Finnely led Bengals. Hopefully revenge pride and homefield help exact payback on the Browns.

Gonna need alot of guys to get better fast to beat the Browns

Actually wrong. I would. He’s a fellow Steeler’s fan and more importantly a human being.

You jump in no questions asked. The other stuff doesn’t matter.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Stated in another thread this was the right thing to do as a business. In my world both people would be fired on the spot. Escorted by the police off property.

Pouncey in a fit of rage to defend his QB did what any of us would do. I don't criticize him for that. I just know that's not the image any business would want to be associated with.

The NFL had no choice in the matter. I'm sure Maurkice knew this after the fact but didn't give a fuck during the process.

For real. Would have been a really good thing. And maybe that would have forced their hand to go take a look at Kaepernick.

I'm still puzzled by what if anything Mason did to precipitate Garrett's attack. Did he say the wrong thing? Grab Garrett's helmet?

Apparently kneed Garrett in the groin, tried to pull his helmet off.

The way he handled that workout today, I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team.

It was a mess. Kaepernick throws out the conspiracy BS and moves the workout to another location. To be fair, I don't understand why the NFL was not going to allow cameras/video and the media at the workout. But that's an idiot move that doesn't help you with a team that might be on the fence. You basically just signaled to everyone that if things don't go exactly how you want - in the era of Leveon Bell and Antonio Brown - that you're going to be a problem. You're just not good enough to play that card.

IMO, he would have been in the league all along except he wanted $10M+ a year. That's not going to happen. I guarantee he's not taking a $1M/yr deal as a back-up. I think he used this opportunity for publicity, and I don't think he has any intention of accepting a fair contract. Which might explain why the NFL didn't want cameras.

Note that 25 teams supposedly showed up for the workout at ATL facilities....after Kaepernick moved the location, it seems only 8 bothered to follow.

Stephen A. got it right - this is a publicity stunt and CK has no intention of playing in the NFL ever again.

Yep, you’re right. I thought the Steelers should make an effort to bring him in, but it’s obvious he just wants to, as Steven A. Said, “be a martyr”. I’ll be shocked if anyone buys.

You got this backwards: the NFL set up a sham workout, on a ridiculous schedule, asked for an onerous liability agreement to be signed, sabotaged this whole thing. It was a PR trap, where they could give a hit whether he showed up to a half-assed workout or refused, proving he wasn’t interested. Either way the NFL can say, “hey, we tried! No collision!”

Looked to me like even after the ball was out garrett persisted in taking Rudolph down as though Rudolph still had possession of the ball. Rudolph fighting his way out of the grips of an unrelenting garrett became hostile and did what he did. Neither let up both initiated the confrontation and one took the lump on the head and the other took the short bus to the couch... end of story.

Garrett drives Rudolph into the ground way after the ball is gone (should've been roughing call), Mason takes offense and grabs Garrett's helmet, both are talking smack, Garrett then grabs Mason's facemask and starts to wrench his helmet off his head while he's still strapped in.

Garrett pulls the helmet off and gets doubled pushed by Pouncey and DD. Mason gets up and runs toward Garrett to get his helmet back and Garrett takes the infamous swing of the helmet to Rudolph's head.

The Kap thing, didn't he also want to have his own Video crew because he and Nike wanted to make a damn ad out of the whole workout??

So, he wasn't really interested in coming back to the NFL, only in making another high profile ad for his true 'owner', Nike?? Who has paid him handsomely all along, right??

Went about as I expected it. Dude is never going to play in the NFL again, too concerned about being an activist instead of a football player.

Someone should offer him a 1-yr vet min deal, just to prove he's not in the league only because he wants more money than he's worth.

Someone here said (another thread) something along the lines of “aside from the kneeling he was a good teammate etc.”

Not sure that is true. There were several rumors floating around out here in the Bay Area prior to his departure from the 49ers claiming he banged a teammates girlfriend. In addition to that was very aloof and pretty much a dick. Kept to himself with his headphones.

This was around the time the shine was starting to come off along with the deterioration of his play.

Let’s not forget, he wasn’t cut. He asked out of his contract. Now he might have ultimately been cut given the big money he was due paired with his poor numbers but either way, he asked out.

No way to prove but there was plenty of chatter about him banging his teammate’s girls.

That’ll certainly cause some locker room issues. Unless your OC is Todd Hailey.

Even if MR got suspended for the season and Duck got a season ending injury, I would not advocate signing Kaepernick. I would sign almost any other person than someone that continues to disrespect potential employers. What happened yesterday was beyond ridiculous.

Maybe the NFL set-up was rigged or unfair, or maybe it was a test to see if Kap could play by their rules.

In any event, 2/3 of the teams scheduled to attend simply left when Kap decided he was going to play by HIS rules. That really speaks volumes.

I'd add- understanding he was throwing against air- the placement on a lot of his throws was really bad. Now, that's something that can/should change with repetition, but I saw lots of INTs.

I think it's pretty clear Kaepernick has very little interest in actually playing again.

Not only with the fiasco of moving venues at the last minute, but his decision to wear the "Kunta Kinte" shirt. That was a pretty clear message to teams that he still has every intention of being a sideshow, and he's just not good enough for teams to want to put up with that.

And I'll also add that I watched some of the workout on Youtube, and his body language sucked. He really didn't look like he had any real desire to be there at all.

I suspect he did it just because he was beginning to fade into obscurity and wanted a last ditch effort to get people talking about him again.

I'm all for self expression, but this was, ostensibly at least, a job interview. The choice of clothing struck me as odd, too, considering. You guys are right, though, there's a chance he wasn't taking this too seriously.
