Goal Line Acrobatics

Post by Stallworth16 » Mon Dec 07, 2015 5:24 am

Front flip aerial maneuvers are impressive. Slamming your Body and nuts into the goalpost at high speed is amazing to watch.
But Is the Injury Risk too high? What do you guys think? Anyway these are great plays to watch again.

I'm still laughing at the goal post smash - you know he was thinking about what to do those last 40 yards or so and that's what he came up with.

The front flip is really one of the more impressive things I've seen. In slow-motion you can even see him spotting his landing, and sticking it.

But on a related note, if that's using the goalpost as a prop then why isn't dunking over the crossbar the same?

I detest seeing that shit. You want to celebrate, dance, pretend to moon somebody or simulate fucking a donkey... Go for it!

Putting our slim playoff chances on the line cause you want to see if you can stick the landing??? I think it is as stupid and selfish as one can be.

Do not think the reward is worth the risk.

I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed to dunk over the crossbar anymore either.

I get a kick out of ABs TD antics, I laughed my ass off at yesterday's goalpost balls smasher celebration, while at the same time wishing he wouldn't do them.

IIRC Steve Smiff Sr was the originator of the goal post "smash". Its in the highlight real below.

Playoff chances? There were 4 minutes left in a blowout win. Take it easy.

I believe he's referring to possibly losing AB for the stretch run, not losing that particular game.

Yeah that makes more sense. Still not worried about it, but to each their own.

John Stallworth and Lynn Swann would score Touchdowns and basically just let the TDs speak for themselves maybe raise the arms and give some hugs.

We live in a different era. AB and Martavis are building their brands. Sure I could do without the self aggrandizement, but that's AB. And like everything else, including practicing extremely hard, he does celebrations well and entertaining. Maybe that's just who AB is. A Big Personality, a Big Talent in a small body.

Well- not quite.

They had this little TD routine they did almost every time one of them scored.

Not as "dangerous" as what Brown has been doing, but a little more than "raise the arms and give some hugs".

Go to 0:49 of this video and watch:

PS As a kid, I loved those celebrations. Not too thrilled with the danger element of what our guys have been doing nowadays, but if you can't beat 'em...join 'em. I've given up my resistance! Let them have their fun, and entertain us as well!

One of the many articles popping up about AB's celebration today.
This one is about the funny twitter comments:

About AB's celebrations.........I don't care. As long as the game is over when he gets the flag and he doesn't hurt himself.

Here's the Martavis Bryant 68 yard TD:

AB is living his dream...His passion is real.

I agree about the injury part.

I laughed my balls off when AB did it.

MY biggest issue with the celebration thing...Its illegal to celebrate as a team.

I can understand the taunting element

I agree. When things are going well...which for him is most of the time, he's like a little kid. Just loving every minute of it. When things don't go his way, he tends to act like a little kid then too. He loves the game though and it shows.

AB will soon announce he is doing a Jordan to baseball like move and quitting NFL to pursue his dream of being the first multimillionaire parkour athlete.

The NFL has decided to fine Antonio Brown for his spontaneous moment of Goalpost Love, to the tune of $11,576.
