Could Josh Gordon actually play tomorrow?

Post by rooneytunes » Sat Sep 06, 2014 4:55 pm

Seems like it would be too late but if they strike a drug testing deal today and they retro everyone and they say he is now not suspended because his amount of weed in his system would now have been under the new level, what is to stop him from flying out tonight and be on the field tomorrow starting? SBI that he is not playing

I doubt very much Gordon sees the field tomorrow. It would be a huge surprise lets say.

Banished Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon says he has no plans to sue the NFL and is moving forward regardless of whether the league decides to revamp its drug-testing policy. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11472 ... ue-nfl-ban

NFLPA chief DeMaurice Smith told a Washington radio station Friday that, in talks with the NFL about a new policy for performance-enhancing drugs, the union will seek to reverse suspensions that occurred this year but are based retroactively to the previous policy. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11471 ... uspensions

it will be interesting on what the players give up to get a new policy. It is fairly simple now. You are responsible for what you put into your body.

I can't imagine he plays tomorrow.

The arbitrary thresholds used to declare a positive test in the existing drug policy are absurdly low.

IDK, it just seems to me that ever since ole DeMaurice "Cool Cat" Smith took over as head of the NFLPA, the players are getting bent over the table at every turn.

The players wanted more money and got it. Now they are seeing that they gave up a lot for that money

This.

Players didnt read their history. Money means nothing without proper representation or the ability to get fair due process.
