Fitz
I don't follow the college game much, so didn't know shit about this guy....but he had a helluva sophomore year at Michigan, then ran into some trouble with a DUI, then a broken leg.
I think he'll be okay on Saturday if needing to answer the bell. Fuck that shit about our being one-dimensional. I think Fitz will do okay.

Don't know jack shit about him, but if the runing game isn't working I hope he's catching the rock and blocking like a champ!

Swiss, I know nothing about Fitz either. But from what he appears on TV he goes about 5'7", 160lbs. The only tackle he looks like he could break or player he go run over is Dri Archer and Dri isn't on a team currently.
I know that doesn't mean he can't run or do a decent job. My problem with that is, he is a 180 opposite of the kinda back we need. I mean lets face it, without Bell &/or DWill, we aren't winning shit by running the ball. No back will be getting many carries. We don't need a "workhorse" we need a guy that will either worry the defense a bit or a guy that will "push a pile" on short-n-goal and short yardage situations.
I'm tired of field goals or Tomlin rather deciding to go for it when we are in the redzone. My point is, with the way this team is built and will play throughout the playoffs, if we have to go with a scrapheap back, I would much rather that guy be a "bulldozer" type. Not a scat back type. I can see us driving down field on teams, but having nobody to move a plie to "punch" it in or pickup a yard or two when needed to keep the chains moving. Can't have drives stalling against playoff caliber teams.
Last year without Bell we needed a Bell. This year without Bell & DWill we need a bowling ball. The exact opposite of what Fitz is. (In my opinion)

Josh Harris had more NFL success before the playoffs last year than Fitz...and looked better when given the chance (include long run that got called back in regular season).
Yet they went out and got Tate.
I didn't notice any egregious blocking errors by Fitz, but my heart was in my neck most of that game and my eyes were 50% on bills... and details like that I can't recall...but Fitz in pass pro scares me. And if you underestimate running back pass pro, remember it's that very reason we may be seeing aj mccarron this weekend instead of the ginge. Bernard decided not to chip tuitt, which lead to the int and the injury. If Deangelo can't go, I think we may see more looks with heath and will Johnson in backfield. I wouldn't be surprised to see todman get more reps than Fitz.

Here's a good write-up on Toussaint from this week:

Told you he was just fine in pass pro. Also saved a TD and scored on the two-pointer.

He has to perform in wet cold. Forecast now 100% rain winds 10-15 temps mid 30's. They've got Hill & Bernard, we've got Fitz. Coffee shop in Dulles has local weather guy saying weather will affect playoffs, had rain for our game and polar blast for Vikings Shawks will influence outcomes & betting
Todman looked good, better than Toussaint for sure.
Not sure how he got jumped on the depth chart.
If our running game is successful Saturday night, I expect that will be due to Todman.

At this point, I just want whomever starts at RB to block (especially helping with that scum Burfict), and to protect the damn ball.

Between the article Stallworth posted, Tomlin's comments, and this article pointing out Fitz solid in pass pro vs Browns... it all has me liking and believing in the kid a little bit. An easy guy to pull for.
I'm most concerned about missing DWill in pass pro and Fitz might be the remedy.
Gotta like the catch on the 2 point conversion and the tackle too. He might be the kind of guy that is valuable to have on the team bringing intangibles and toughness when needed... a "gamer". We'll see.

I agree. What little I saw of Todman (and it wasn't much) I thought he looked explosive...hit the hole hard. Croissant...idk, he runs more like a FB to me...head down, no change of direction...plodding...
Just want both of them to be successful...good problem to have next year.
