Tomlin IS Big Ben's excuse
I notice Foles threw no interceptions. And what do you know? 42 points won it.

I think this is my favorite Pats’ Super Bowl loss.
Because Pederson was the one who (mostly) made the right calls and Belichick and Brady were the ones who made head-scratchers.

NE has a great system (especially with Ernie telling you where to throw). Tom has been very average the second half of the year.
He still has the velocity, hard to tell if the accuracy is a temporary thing or not. If he's getting hit and his OL can't hold, he's done.

Anyone still thinks coaching, game planning, play calling, situational play calling is what separates good coaches from mediocre to bad coaches.
Its not all Jimmies and Joes....
When X'S and O'S make the difference for those jimmies and joes

His stats and accuracy suggest some gas is still in the tank.

Foles just earned his chance to start again for somebody next year.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

System. Always has been. But now he no longer has a very good arm just a very average one. The most unimpressive 500 yard (even 400 yard) game I've ever seen. Completed like half his passes and was a huge benefactor of a ton of blown coverages.

Eagles have a big problem.
Odds are...Carson Wentz will not be ready for at least the first month of the season next year.

Forgot about the deflection.
Still, Ben's throw was worse, IMO.
Ben also had one of the great QB playoff performances ever, IMO.

If Foles is under contract, may have a great problem.

Crazy he was a back-up after that year he had once. I don't care who you are or what system you are in - you don't put up numbers like that without more talent than half the league.

Irony being that little bitch committed OPI just as much as any DPI. Fuck him. That whole team is loathsome.
Yup. Ran thru a defender at the 10

Get the first down...take three knees...win.
Even if the pass is incomplete...take a knee...kick FG...then they need a TD and two point conversion anyway.
So failure on a pass equals the same result anyway.
Igloos shoulda passed on 2nd down with 2;03 left...is that what you're saying, Jeems?

How do they pick these people?
Darrell Green has exactly what relation to this game?
Because 2 x 26 = 52?

Yeah. Anyone who wants to talk shit about Ben after that performance...I just don't know about them. There were maybe five WTF HOW DID THAT HAPPEN plays. I actually think the most impressive was the lateral. The awareness to throw it backwards in that spot. Damnnnnn.

He plays in an all-time great system, aided by cheating.
Nick Foles in that system is every bit the QB that Brady is. Brady on another team is probably just another very good QB. No one else in the league comes close to having as many easy throws.

Yes.
Because if they get the first down there...Pats will never get the ball back.
And failing to complete the pass leaves them in the same situation as running.
