“Thoughts are a waste of time for me.” - Michael Pettaway Tomlin
A new year!
Agree with Perch. This seems like an easy L to mark down. Don't see the Steelers offense being in sync, too many questions up front, and Stefon Diggs is going to shred us.
Steelers - 20
Bills - 31

Steelers are going to start slow. Oline is not likely to gell quickly IMO. Maybe the D can win this one for us but that's a lot to ask. I think the Bills win this one 35-13 with a few turnovers leading to scores..ie bad snaps, fumbles. But I'm hoping for a surprise showing.I think the oline will improve greatly as they go along. I like the talent. Too bad I have doubts about our HC and DC who may actually be the same guy!

Was eagerly awaiting the return of the 'cast. Always a great listen!
My gut instinct was to side with Perch on this game - and that's still probably where I'd put my money - BUT...
Looking back at last year's game the two things that stand out to me (besides our complete inability to cover Diggs, which I don't expect to change):
- We had 17 rushes for 48 yards. I'm not sure we could rush that poorly again if we tried. I expect Najee to have more of a 20 carries for 94 yards type of game than an absolute barn burner (give or take a YPC-saving long run, like Saquon in his first game), but the fact that we won't be one-dimensional from the word go makes an enormous difference. Somewhat related to that...
- 16 of the Bills' 26 points came within 5 minutes of either side of the half, including a pick-six at the end of the first. If we can give Najee a few totes to get into field goal range instead of forcing a pass to make up for our dead-on-arrival rungame, maybe that situation plays out differently.

I wish I was as confident in an improved running game as some of you guys are…
