Did anyone tell Kenny to "just stay down son, for your benefit."
"We, as an offensive collective were off today, and certainly, he's a component of that,"
When you miss wide open receivers as often as PR Pickett does he could use some time sitting and watching.
Certainly isn’t getting better by playing.
Maybe he can go back to college for years 6 & 7 then get the NFL again.

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Facts!
You know, Tomlin in all his stubbornness and ignorance, while looking at game tape, has likely admitted to himself, Kenny ain’t it.

Cardinals were 10 of 12 on third down to end the game.
Arizona Cardinals.
Don’t forget that the defense can suck out loud when it counts too. Started 0-4 then went 10 OF FUCKING 12 on third down to finish the game.
A gigantic mess. My god.

Can you picture Coach sitting there in his recliner at the office, with a double bourbon, watching some of these highlights, and the look on his face when he sees the reality of what Kenny is doing. The bourbon gets thrown at the monitor and he starts yelling and swearing, throwing ping pong tables and his awards.
Has he had enough of this yet. He doesn't let on, other than his labored breathing during post-game press conferences.

Let me get this straight......
They were going to bench PIckett, who had the team at a 7-4 record (and firmly in the playoff picture) in favor of Mitch Trubisky, who I believe had 1 win (the overtime win vs Cincy in the first game) last season and got booed off the field at home vs the Jets the last time he was a starter?
Yeah, I'll buy it.

The only reason they should ever consider sitting KP is if the game is out of reach and the Line is getting him killed
Otherwise, it's ride or die with KP
(note that I realize he's injured short term now)

He also, reported that Art II initiated the exit of Canada, which I firmly believe.
KP8 hasn’t processed the field very well, although he is surround by a serious lack of talent in the coaching department.
I don’t think any QB, the most important position on the team, will ever be developed to or near their ceiling, under Tomlin and his buddy-hire coaching staff. So, it’s not all of KP8’s fault.

Receiver must’ve slipped
Unfathomable to bench the QB literally the least likely in the history of modern football to throw a TD pass.

I'm saying Pickett had this team, when he left yesterday's game (which was a 3-3 tie with the ball sitting at the Cardinals 1) had a 14-9 record as a starter and firmly in a playoff race.
......and Mitch Trubisky is his back-up.
I don't really think I need to add anything to that.

Kenny is an unmitigated disaster. Mitch is already established as a 1st round bust. Kenny is definitely worse. Time to go fire up the old Pickett Excuse Generator. I’m sure it’s quite literally everyone’s fault but his.K_C_ wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 9:39 pmDuring Mitch's starting tenure?Steelperch wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 9:37 pmReceiver must’ve slipped![]()

I’m saying Pickett had the game as a 3-3 tie because he can’t read a defense or throw a TD Pass against a team that has allowed 20+ points in 11 different games this year. Then along came Kenny and they got right. Weird how that happens.K_C_ wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 9:44 pmI'm not saying Pickett has looked like Dan Marino in his prime.Stillchest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 9:33 pmDulac has been mostly reliable.K_C_ wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 9:28 pmLet me get this straight......

It's really as simple as that.
If Mitch plays great I'll be the first person to congratulate him, but I expect things will go the way they did after he replaced Kenny yesterday, only worse.

What happened after Kenny left the game injured, in a 3-3 game with the ball at the Cardinals 1 yard line?
No sneak. Najee stopped. Cardinals go 99 yards.
Bad snap Mitch could easily have fallen on. He doesn't.
Ball game.
Them's the facts. If I'm missing something, let me know (go ahead and add the garbage time TD pass Diontae was so excited about. Yay!

I don’t even want Kenny as a backup. I’d like a Minshew/Brissett/Tannehill type as a backup.

I hope they can draft a decent qb & let KP & the new guy fight it out in the preseason. So when Kenny falters early on next season missing his receivers - they can put the new guy in & let KP fight Mitch (if they can't rid of him without too much of a cap hit) as backup. Time to admit KP was a bad pick & find a qb who can win.
Kenny will be the starter when he gets healthy and then again next season.
That, I'm certain of.

Ummm what does that have to do with his ability??
Of course he’s going to start. We burned a 1st rounder on him. They’ll let him start at least through next year so they can check the box that he had amble opportunity to develop.
Duh.
Next time you say some shit about DJ I’ll respond that he’s going to be starting next week and that I’m certain if it.
Relevant to the conversation how?

Pickett's ability has plenty to do with it. He was 14-9 as a starter (with what, 6 or 7 game winning drives?) when he left that game yesterday. The Steelers firmly in the playoff race.955876 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 10:30 pmUmmm what does that have to do with his ability??

So yeah....his ability has plenty to do with why Pickett will be the starter when he returns.
Nobody would disagree that Pickett needs to play better, but as your boy Jibbs clearly stated in one of his recent post game press conferences, guys like Tomlin and Pickett will ultimately be judged on wins....and Kenny isn't doing too shabby in that department.
I hope that helps.
