Scoreigami has to be going on with this score at Houston?
Happened in 1965.

That is three fucking weeks in a row where the asshole head coach with the wife with a goddamned clothing store decided to fucking punt when he HAD TO GO FOR IT and all three times it fucked the team, not that they needed help at that point.

And no one will call him out, they will continue to butter his buns and shove their worthless faces in there.

RIdiculous shit.
Burleson and Watt were definitely grilling him on the live broadcast. And I don't think even Brady and Chuckles the clown missed that last week.

Our local.press though ... Nobody called him on it..nobody even got within a hundred yards of that.

This forum mainlines recency bias, and I feel like there have been plenty of times where we can't make up our mind if he's a potted plant or this smooth talking mastermind of ultra mediocrity that controls and stymies the offense, defense and the progress and culture of the Steelers down to the grain of paper on the shit tickets in the custodians closet.

This is *three games in a row* where down multiple scores and ostensibly playing to win the game, Tomlin waved the white flag with significant time on the clock. Sorry...leaving the schematic stubbornness/idiocy aside, the situational coaching I have witnessed this December isn't playing to win, isnt avoiding your fears, and isn't in any way, shape or form a formula for winning a championship. It's an insult to the fans and an insult to his own lengthy list of accolades.

I have decades of ride or die with this team on my resume. I haven't literally walked away from multiple primetime Steelers games with time on the clock since.... ever.
But I'm tired, boss. I'm tired.

I credit Burleson, he was forthright about what we all saw. That was refreshing, I wasn't expecting an actual criticism of Coach Mike. It never happens.

This goes to show what a cloistered insulated life Coach lives. I don't think many coaches would get a pass on this. He's lucky they had a winning record.

This is a losing streak in part directly because of his actions at the end of the halves and these punts. He contributed to the loss.

It's blatant evidence of it.

As you said, local media will ignore, probably have been discussing it amongst each other and Steelers PR.

All on the money! But the dumbass fans keep showing up and emptying their pockets.

I’m even convinced the Netflix broadcast today used artificial crowd noise. We didn’t hear one boo from the tv. It was weird but Occam’s razor says something in crowd noise to muffle home team boos. Our fans def boo when they trot out this horse dung at home

It's amazing for Smith's resume, he has no idea how to keep a defence off balance. Might as well have Canada back, as this is exactly the same offence!
They've rearranged the deck chairs so nicely, though!

According to the color guys. Do they have the playbook?
Why did GP run an out? Can’t blindly throw into triple coverage because GP was supposed to run a go route.

Does appear that he fucked up, otherwise it is a stupid play. Or maybe they ran a play that usually works when you are 5 yards closer to the goaline and the go route isn’t needed?
Freiemuth had 1 on 1... the safety was over the top and facing Pickens until George stopped his route. Then the safety went back to the MOF and came from the backside to intercept. If Pickens is 10 yards farther downfield, safety probably isn't in MOF.

Need to get the ball to these guys more.
That’s the three guys on this offense worth building around.
Great. A #2 RB, a #2 TE, and a WR who won't be here in 2 years.

Swiss cheese defense
Remeber when the Steelers' defense was "dominant" vs shit offensive teams and no one wanted to hear that they weren't going to look very good vs good NFL offenses? They played like 1.5 good defensive games vs quality NFL offenses this year to date.

What would be nice is if the Steelers wind up going to Arrowhead and winning on the road to the SB.
You are one optimistic dude! Good for you.

Merry Christmas 🎁⛄
To win the Super Bowl, the best-case scenario at this point would be for the Steelers to beat the #1 offense in the league next week, then at Houton, KC at KC, and either Baltimore or Buffalo on the road... just to get to the Super Bowl. I know you're an optimist but... c'mon man.

Hopefully. Lose by 20+ to the Bengals and then get embarrassed on Wildcard Weekend in a blowout. That’s the best realistic outcome for the rest of this season.

Could be enough to pressure Tomlin to retire. But unfortunately, we got so many breaks early on this year and the double digit wins will likely be enough to stay in purgatory.

It's hard to care when Club as a whole does not care about getting undressed in national stand alone games like this one today

WTF are we talking about.

The scariest part is the narrative where we play the debacle of a unit that is the Texans and take em down 6-4 in a barn burner.

another problem that has raised it ahead this year - seems it’s going to be very try hard for this team to attain, retain or keep happy any offensive talent player or coach. the O is soooooooo basic, conservative and slow

I’m tired of the lynch Pickens crew here. That’s all.

Inconsistent effort ?? I will concede that. Particularly coming from you.

I wish there would be a little more discussion about why Pickens might have a point

Do you know what Pickens career avg per game for TARGETS is ? Not touches or catches TARGETS

It’s 6 per game

Motherfucking 6 goddamn targets PER GAME !!!

This year of course the Steelers are really making better efforts however and with any luck Pickens May EXPLODE for 7.5 targets per game

Sorry @franco32 I should not have called you a goddamn dumbass

They should try and trade Pickens asap. If they got rid of Dionte Johnson for being a jagoff, Pickens is an even bigger jagoff.
Plus no matter what, Pickens will price himself out of town.
Try and trade instead of just ending up with a comp pick.

He can’t make up for a brain dead scheme
He signs off on said scheme each and every week.

He hears the plays being called (when he has his headset on) so it’s not like he’s some poor victim out there looking good in his shades.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

You're watching with your homer glasses. Heyward's foot was over the yard line that the ball was behind. Easy peasy call.
Anyone want to pull out Heyward's statline this year on offense?

Bet he has 10 penalties alone this year, more than half are procedural (meaning he doesn't line up right). Dude gets ragdolled in the run game.

I don't want him taking any snaps on offense. He can be the ST's ace...he's pretty good at that part.

There you go again with this “fix everything in one draft with infinity picks” horse shit.

This isn’t a video game.

At least he’s being creative and trying to think outside the box.

I’d much rather do something like the above than just run it back another year.

This organization definitely needs some fresh ideas and new thinking, rather than the conceited lardasses, both mentally and physically, that are throughout it.

And show some respect to the SteelerFury award winner.

There’s outside the box, and then there’s a waste of keystrokes.

His draft is the latter.

I’m not against a major overhaul, but it’s not happening without a new Rooney taking over and telling Tomlin to get on with his life’s work.

They should try and trade Pickens asap. If they got rid of Dionte Johnson for being a jagoff, Pickens is an even bigger jagoff.
Plus no matter what, Pickens will price himself out of town.
Try and trade instead of just ending up with a comp pick.

It’s 14 picks you dum dum. AND. The team just got ALOT younger faster stronger cheaper.

Additionally they got a franchise QB. One that might be able to overcome the Steelers inherent bs.

Of course you can’t fix every problem with one draft but THATS ^^^^^ a damn good start

DL QB RB loaded

ILB OL get fantastic depth with C2 potential

1 2 3 the following year if you do fairly well gives you a loaded roster with zero cap issues and 4-5 window at least

You gotta make some bold moves once in while

Ask the Chiefs and Eagles how that’s worked out for them next time they toy with us for 60 minutes

You truly are one of the dumbest people here. Congrats. That’s REALLY saying something

The point is

It’s easily possible to get back on the right track with one bold offseason

We gotta quit holding on to the idea that this team is close. Much of the team are losers and pussys. Several are both. Why hang on to THAT ??

Hey look on the bright side...we weren't the first team to allow the Chiefs to score 30 points this season...
They tried their damndest to give up 30, trust me!
But they didn't, and that's all that counts... They stopped the two-pointer that would have given Kansas City 30...
