Burleson and Watt were definitely grilling him on the live broadcast. And I don't think even Brady and Chuckles the clown missed that last week.langer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2024 9:05 pmThat is three fucking weeks in a row where the asshole head coach with the wife with a goddamned clothing store decided to fucking punt when he HAD TO GO FOR IT and all three times it fucked the team, not that they needed help at that point.
And no one will call him out, they will continue to butter his buns and shove their worthless faces in there.
RIdiculous shit.

Our local.press though ... Nobody called him on it..nobody even got within a hundred yards of that.
This forum mainlines recency bias, and I feel like there have been plenty of times where we can't make up our mind if he's a potted plant or this smooth talking mastermind of ultra mediocrity that controls and stymies the offense, defense and the progress and culture of the Steelers down to the grain of paper on the shit tickets in the custodians closet.
This is *three games in a row* where down multiple scores and ostensibly playing to win the game, Tomlin waved the white flag with significant time on the clock. Sorry...leaving the schematic stubbornness/idiocy aside, the situational coaching I have witnessed this December isn't playing to win, isnt avoiding your fears, and isn't in any way, shape or form a formula for winning a championship. It's an insult to the fans and an insult to his own lengthy list of accolades.
I have decades of ride or die with this team on my resume. I haven't literally walked away from multiple primetime Steelers games with time on the clock since.... ever.
But I'm tired, boss. I'm tired.

I credit Burleson, he was forthright about what we all saw. That was refreshing, I wasn't expecting an actual criticism of Coach Mike. It never happens.
This goes to show what a cloistered insulated life Coach lives. I don't think many coaches would get a pass on this. He's lucky they had a winning record.
This is a losing streak in part directly because of his actions at the end of the halves and these punts. He contributed to the loss.
It's blatant evidence of it.
As you said, local media will ignore, probably have been discussing it amongst each other and Steelers PR.
All on the money! But the dumbass fans keep showing up and emptying their pockets.drmalba wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 1:17 amBurleson and Watt were definitely grilling him on the live broadcast. They've rearranged the deck chairs so nicely, though!
That's also what I thought. Are we all dumbasses for having had just about enough of Pickens's shit? I get he's the best offensive player they have now in terms of talent but he's a vocal complainer and gives some... inconsistent effort.
Freiemuth had 1 on 1... the safety was over the top and facing Pickens until George stopped his route. Then the safety went back to the MOF and came from the backside to intercept. If Pickens is 10 yards farther downfield, safety probably isn't in MOF.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2024 6:49 pmAccording to the color guys. Championship
Why did GP run an out? Can’t blindly throw into triple coverage because GP was supposed to run a go route.
Does appear that he fucked up, otherwise it is a stupid play. Or maybe they ran a play that usually works when you are 5 yards closer to the goaline and the go route isn’t needed?
Great. A #2 RB, a #2 TE, and a WR who won't be here in 2 years.Steelperch wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2024 6:55 pmThat’s the three guys on this offense worth building around.
Remeber when the Steelers' defense was "dominant" vs shit offensive teams and no one wanted to hear that they weren't going to look very good vs good NFL offenses? They played like 1.5 good defensive games vs quality NFL offenses this year to date.
To win the Super Bowl, the best-case scenario at this point would be for the Steelers to beat the #1 offense in the league next week, then at Houton, KC at KC, and either Baltimore or Buffalo on the road... just to get to the Super Bowl. I know you're an optimist but... c'mon man.TTP wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2024 8:56 pmYou are one optimistic dude! Bet he has 10 penalties alone this year, more than half are procedural (meaning he doesn't line up right). Dude gets ragdolled in the run game.
I don't want him taking any snaps on offense. He can be the ST's ace...he's pretty good at that part.

At least he’s being creative and trying to think outside the box.
I’d much rather do something like the above than just run it back another year.
This organization definitely needs some fresh ideas and new thinking, rather than the conceited lardasses, both mentally and physically, that are throughout it.
And show some respect to the SteelerFury award winner.

His draft is the latter.
I’m not against a major overhaul, but it’s not happening without a new Rooney taking over and telling Tomlin to get on with his life’s work.
But they didn't, and that's all that counts... They stopped the two-pointer that would have given Kansas City 30...
