Quite the opposite. There is no reason we can’t win. I don’t care about jinxes or hexes or curses. Bad week for Oregon QBs.

Pats are beatable.
I can see how we had so many takeaways since we last played.
Chargers should have a had a couple more tonight.
Maye is deckable on sacks. And he throws errant balls that get popped up. That is worth 3 to 4 turnovers.

Maybe John Harbaugh will fill the upcoming Chargers vacancy.

You have to wonder if that wrist sheet on Herbert’s arm has something to do with his poor play? Collinsworth was making fun of it because it was so big and strangely long at 3 pages.
Maybe JH doesn’t know the playbook well enough or the playbook nomenclature is too complicated to memorize or learn by chunking it….just out there trying not to hose the call and not out there thinking about what is in front of him.

The Pats are still annoying, but imagine how annoying they’d be if the hung on to Belichick and he got to make a run with Drake Maye.

His mental processing has been terrible. He's been overthinking at every turn and not taking what the D was giving him. There were many opportunities for check downs and dropping the ball in just over the blitzes and he either didn't see or decided not to take all but a few. Add in under / over thrown balls when he had open receivers and you get zero TDs and 3 total points.
Bottom line- that was just ugly.
You kind of have to feel bad for the Chargers D. 2 takeaways, including one in plus territory resulted in zero points.

Don't forget Greg Roman...WHAT running game? LOL
I fear we may one up their awfulness against that Houston defense...but we probably have a better running game than THAT..one would hope.

JAX would be just fine in the playoffs even with David Garrard or Blake Bortles and the Tomlin Steelers as an opponent.
And fuck the Terrible Towel, it's as useful as a Penn State white out.fans doing something hasnt ever gotten em much but players doing something definitely has. fuck the jags fuck the bengals and fuck Steeler "fans" that are so scared they pretend to want their team to lose. so if it happens they can say its what they wanted. some browns shit rivht there. i know its a big thing on this site. u have to lose to get change. i dont agree but i understand the logic. u want tomlin gone who doesnt? u want the team to modernize who doesnt? but are u srsly telling me u would be mad if the steelers won a playoff game? what if they won two? still mad? even madder? what if they fucked around and won the afc championship? really pissed off? that my friend makes u not a fan of the team. now taking solace in a loss that maybe it puts pressure to change that makes sense ofc. but not being happy to see your team win is assinine bullshit. if ownership said "if we have a losing season we are firing tomlin" then ok but they havent said that theres tons of evidence and a damned good argument to say they wouldnt fire him no matter what. i am a fanatic supporter of the Steelers. when they play i want them to win. it makes me happy to see them win. fans of other teams esoecially thise in competition directly with us are happy when we lose. in the off season pull for and champion all the change u want. i do. real fans do. we want change but what we dont want is our team to lose. its fucking stoopid. maybe it rly is just the cancer i live with now that keeps it to the front of my mind but we all might die anyday. i want to see the Steelers win as many times as i can before i die. especially in the playoffs. u think losing now makes that happen, ok. i dont. i think tomlin leaves when he wants which is more likely after winning than losing. so fuck off saying fuck the towel and hating the team u say ur a fan of. srsly just fuck off. Go Steelers!
That was one hell of a paragraph. Bravo.
And imagine if they win one 1 or two.
I don't think there is one team in AFC that is a juggernaut

They're it prove it mode to me for the last 5 years at least. Tomlin not going for it on 4th and 1 near midfield or on 4th and 4 from the Browns end of the field, despite mounting comeback momentum... that put me in this place. Winning this week would be enough to get me out of it enough to appreciate next week, even though I find this coach, owner, and set of stars extremely unlikeable.

I get the coach and owner thing....I don't get the repeated them about the players being unlikable. I know there's the perception of lack of effort by TJ....dunno how true that isbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Jan 12, 2026 2:27 pmSteelers could beat every team left and could get blown out by any of them, too.

I don't know how anyone watches those games this weekend and thinks PIT can beat anyone. They might all be capable of losing to PIT, but the Steelers aren't playing the modern game. Luck and turnovers is all we have.
I laughed when Romo said yesterday "BUF is going to takeaway the middle and force you to beat them outside the numbers". Wait - if that's a defensive strategy then why does PIT voluntarily choose to do that?!?

Eagles sack Kevin Patullo...I feel like they barely waited for the game to be over.
So now Jalen Hurts will have yet another new OC.
From college through pros, he has never had an OC for two consecutive years.

I think we could probably land AJ Brown for a 4th or 5th round pick pretty easily now.

What was the theme of that game offensively for the Eagles last night?
Barkley then not Barkley then some sort of passing attack, then back to throwing spaghetti at the wall to see if it sticks.
If one can't answer that question in the playoffs it is bad and it probably happened a bunch of times in regular season games too; good reason to fire an OC.
When key defenders hold the franchise hostage demanding more money even though (a) the team just gave them more money, and (b) said players are key defensive cogs part of humiliating playoff defeats they can easily fall into the “unlikable” category.I don't get the repeated them about the players being unlikable
On the offensive side of the ball, how about our shiny new $150 million WR so unable to control his emotions because some blue haired fan said words to him that he about cost the team their playoff spot?
You don’t find that unlikable?
The Eagles' passing attack has actually been quite simple and uncreative for a few years now- their passing offense was actually worse last year than this year, but no one noticed because Barkley ran for 2,000+ yards.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 12, 2026 7:26 pmWhat was the theme of that game offensively for the Eagles last night?

Rumor in the Philly area is the passing game is simple because that's the way Hurts likes it.
But since there's no doubt he's the franchise, the other players, save Brown, are loath to call him out.
One thing I noticed last night is it took forever to get plays off because the O-line was constantly pointing and looking back at Jalen, almost as if to say "Um...Jalen...the D has figured out what we're going to run. Can we get out of this playcall?"
Apparently Hurts has a plethora of tells as well.
This isn't all coming out because of last night's loss- it's been noised about for a couple of years now.

No, I don't find them to be unlikable, even though I may not "like" the off-season stuff. I t try to ignore the money issues; only guy that seems to not be absorbed by it is the QB. And yes, I can be, and am, pissed at DK without finding him unlikable.955876 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 12, 2026 9:59 pmWhen key defenders hold the franchise hostage demanding more money even though (a) the team just gave them more money, and (b) said players are key defensive cogs part of humiliating playoff defeats they can easily fall into the “unlikable” category.I don't get the repeated them about the players being unlikable

As for performance, I think Cam is making up for past weak playoff performances as last week, for all intents and purposes, was a playoff game
TJ? In 2021, he staked the Steelers to a 7-0 lead v KC with a fumble return for a TD. And then he was out for the '22 game at Buffalo. I don't think anyone realistically expected Steelers to win either of those games.
I'm more inclined to "dislike" players who appear to be assholes personally, and I don't know that to be the case with anyone on the current roster. The only Steeler I really didn't like was Roy gerela but that's another story...that I've written about.
I believe Arthur Smith would walk around with a giant hard on if he had both DK and AJ at WR in Pittsburgh.
You're 100% correct that they are similar players but it could work. You'd have to have a great route running WR3 and the TE's Washington and Freiermuth would feast.
I just watched a YouTube video that said Brown has a $72.5 million dollar dead cap number and trading him would add $20 million to the Eagles cap.
I think it's more likely the head coach and OC are gone before AJ.

We don’t need a true #2 in this offense given Arthur Smiff’s fascination for using multiple TE sets.
Now he’d get a chubby over having two stud WRs?

Jason Kelce was defending the OC, saying players have to make plays! That sounds familiar…where have I heard that before. Pretty sure I heard that with Fichtner and Canada every other week.jeemie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 12, 2026 11:19 pmThe Eagles' passing attack has actually been quite simple and uncreative for a few years now- their passing offense was actually worse last year than this year, but no one noticed because Barkley ran for 2,000+ yards.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 12, 2026 7:26 pmWhat was the theme of that game offensively for the Eagles last night?
