Tomlin rumors
It's pretty much accepted as fact amongst most fans at this point that Cowher cheated on his wife while she had cancer because of similar "rumors" that existed for years. I know what STD and you and the others are trying to do. It's hardly as innocent as you make it out to be. We all know we're about half a page from certain allegations flying because we are talking about this subject as even a possibility of having occurred.
No one is saying we know this is true. Telling people on a message board not to discuss something as a possibility because you think it's uncouth or even worse it just makes YOU uncomfortable because of your personal politics is just pathetic.
But if there's nothing to any of this, you'd think we would have heard something from the woman at the center of it. Even one of the local guys could put a stop to this by saying it's just not true. But they ignore it and won't touch it with a 10 foot pole.
Tomlin would not be the first coach or sports figure to have slipped like this. He definitely won't be the last.
And I think many of us, or at least I would question the judgement of Art II for dumping a coach he supposedly believed in over it if that turned out to be the case. And I could probably sit here all day long and talk about Cowher's infidelity without anyone batting an eye, but don't I dare suggest Mediocre Mike would have done this. We have to protect his image as a saint. We can't view him as a complex real human being who may have screwed up while also doing plenty of good over the years.

I could care less if Tomlin banged a dive restaurant waitress. But, if it is potentially relevant to him stepping down as the Steeler HC, then it is very relevant to this message board. It is not a low blow to be talking about it or even joking about it. He collected 100 million from our team over the years and badly underdelivered so of course we are going to scrutinize.
