Harbaugh schooling Tomlin. Where have I seen this before?
Own up, bud... I;;m calling ALL you guys out. This team is 7-0 and just beat a great team with a great coach IN THEIR HOUSE, and are now 2.5 up over the Ravens and 3.5 up on the Browns.

Make your mea culpas or be called out forever

Whose job does Spillane have next year?

Vince or Bush?
He is s tough bastard. How about him running that Wr/TE down after the catch. Football speed. :D
The dude, to me, has earned the right to be a starter going forward.

....and he's obviously going to get a lot better. Reminds me a bit of John Offerdahl who I believe also came from Western Michigan.

Just toughness personified.
He is an ERFA so I would bet the Steelers will keep him as a backup at least 1 more year.

VW is a heart and soul player on this D. He is going nowhere and they arent gonna just abandon Bush. Spillane will get some snaps but he wont be a starter next year

There's one guy more overrated than Lamar and it's Zeke.

I'm half expecting Dallas to call me to play the line.

Yeah, the Cowboys game worries me a bit- it's a bad NFC team, on the road, after two big, physical AFC wins over tough opponents. The classic Tomlin-era trap game.
We're gonna see a SHIT TON of Zeke next week.

A SHIT TON.

We need to hope this third stringer Cowboy QB sucks because I seriously doubt Dalton will be back next week.
Jerrah said Dalton would be back for the Steelers, but who knows.
Dalton still thinks he plays for the Bungles.

I'll be VERY surprised if he plays next week.

Could work next season as the 3 way rotation they wanted to do last year with that #26 guy.

Remains to be seen whether we're seeing the B game. Maybe this is what the A game looks like against quality opponents.

All I know is, coming off the bye, that was a dagger for the Ravens.

Gotta hope we do not have a let down against the Cowboys. Should be a win.
For them to lose to the Cowboys they would've had to lose their way to the plane or the bus to the stadium..the cowgirls are just that terrible.
Let's see this young QB play first. He's an interesting prospect.

We can but their OLine is injured big time and they're down to starting 3rd/4th lineman in multiple positions
. Their D is just atrocious. If he can make that team look good especially on O, he's part robot.

This game is on Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense.

The second half of the Titans game was on Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense.

We should have ZERO points today.
Hard time blaming Ben when his receivers have a fumble and several drops. OC has dogs shit game plan. Receivers can’t win 1 on 1
Ben has played like a rookie today a few times, in big situations.

The offense basically reflects its QB and our QB looks scared today.

Scared.

How many points did we score in the second half of the Titans game?
21? No sorry, that was the 2nd half TODAY vs. the #3 Defense in the NFL.

We are outclassed so far. They are more talented and better coached.
Coming off bye, extra time to prepare.
What exactly are they doing offensively that the extra week helped with?

They are handing our front 7 its ass.

Going right at them. There is no trickeration involved whatsoever.

...and the Ravens are missing possibly the best o-lineman in the league and another starter.
And, again, why ignore who the Steelers are missing? Not even considering Bush is out... Alualu has been an All-Pro DL to this point.

Spillane 11 tackles. 2 pass defended. 2 tackle for loss, pick 6.
Spillane was a scrap heap UDFA we got off the Tennessee PS. I thought he was a good depth find, but would have never seen this kind of game coming.
Nose for the ball...
Also, inches away from another recovery, the Lamar fumble that was rolling out of bounds

Announcement before the flight home

Spillane, Highsmith and Buggs, please come to podium and get your First Class boarding passes :D

Seriously, Buggs had some issues in the first half but played well after the break and his stop on 4th down was hUGE!!

Yeah, like I said earlier in the game that you quoted "I hope he wakes up". Dude was TERRIBLE in the first half.

That isn't slam, it was the truth.

He woke up. At the right time. Likely because we FINALLY busted out the 5 wide, which he LOVES.

Why we wait to do that, is beyond me.

Um....Spillane's INT literally saved the game.

Ben needed a short field to get it going (I guess) after another empty drive to start the second half.

Thank God that got him going.

Hopefully next week, the offense can save the defense against a banged up Dallas team.

They deserve it.
