Re: Titans at Steelers Game Comments & Misery
How close was the late interception to being a safety?
I think there's some allowance for a player's momentum taking him into the endzone after an interception. If he had flopped right to the ground could he have avoided going into the endzone?
If it had turned into a safety, the Steelers still would have almost definitely won.

“ But Brian was the quarterback. He lay on the ground like a sniper had shot him, so they threw me out. It’s big entertainment now, protect the quarterback, $200 to your favorite charity.”
We need to talk about wee Heyward. Unless teams ignore him? He struggles to get any separation. He is at best a bit player and yet? Heyward is getting a bunch of targets. I realise Washington is raw but his catch radius alone makes him a better target. It feels like there is always one player in the offense that is getting too many touches or too many targets. I hoped once Tomlin's pet was released it would abate but no it seems Heyward has stepped right into to fill that role. Deeply frustrating.

I tell you Kenny looked terrible last night and Canada had he usual stupid calls. Maybe they are. Both the issue
The ball popped up because the safety was trying to catch itzeke5123 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 4:19 amYeah I thought live the defender got a hand to deflect. Ball was about five yards short. But Kenny defenders will ball wash.CKSteeler wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 4:04 am1. I never saw a clear replay to tell if that hit Austin or the DB's hands first, and neither did you.
2. It isn't tough for any WR to come to a complete stop and cut back inside and drop to the ground to catch a poorly thrown pass that needs to be dropped in a bucket over your shoulder.
It was a shit ball.
Austin’s hands came through
The safety had the best chance to catch that ball

Exactly right, Bar!! Exactly right. And....this year...so far....it's working.Stillerz Bar wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 3:40 amDon't have Prime and a neighbor who is a Ravens fan, had us come over to watch.
When DJ scored I said "The D will hold them, then the O will go 3 and out and it will come down to the last few seconds in the red zone. That's they way Tomlin wants it and he's lovin' this shit."
Wish I didn't know this team so well - They'll eventually give me a heart attack.

Heyward is a bit of hold your breath is he going to make it player. I get a bit nervous watching him…but he really hasn’t disappointed.steelclan wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 6:07 pmWe need to talk about wee Heyward. Unless teams ignore him? Washington’s catch I held my breath and realized there is nobody stopping him. He got to the first down marker without even really trying. They need to get him more touches.

Easy throw that Kenny butchered.CKSteeler wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 4:04 am1. I never saw a clear replay to tell if that hit Austin or the DB's hands first, and neither did you.

We get it. You like KP. It's ok to be a realist and realize there's a LOT of room for improvement.
I’ve never said Pickett doesn’t need to improve. He does. A lot.
Dude is easily the best QB on the roster and has a knack for coming up big when it matters most. He needs to play a lot better in the first three quarters for sure and I have a lot of hope he will.
As for the throw to Austin I’ve said 25 times it was under thrown, but when a ball hits a receiver in both hands AND in the stomach, how about you turn a bad throw into a good catch? Happens all the time on other teams. I watch receivers snatch balls that are waaaaay behind them, under thrown and whatever else. Not the idiots on this team. If it isn’t perfectly thrown or damn close to it, they ain’t catching it.

get Washington involved in the passing game.
Outliers take more time to get acclimated to the NFL
