Agree 100%. It’s hilarious to read through this thread and see some of the Yinzers defending the Steelers cutting Harrison - incredible. I don’t care if he didn’t get an official sack in the SB, his play as a 39 year old OLB was much more effective than Bud Dupree. That’s the point and the sad truth and we hand delivered the guy to our #1 competitior who has embarrassed us so many times on the field and off.
I don't think anyone here is defending the Steelers cutting James Harrison.
Only that it is ridiculous to be blowing him for his performance in a game where Nick Foles was 28-43 for 373 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 sacks, the Eagles rushed for 164 yards at a 6.1 YPC average, and scored 41 points.
He had a few nice plays...he made no game-altering plays that warrant such fellatio, and showed nothing that told me his presence on the field would have slowed the Jags down one iota.
People who were trying to blow up his performance yesterday into something it was not are simply showing how silly and bitter they are.
James Harrison made one good, game-affecting play in the entire post-season...which, yes, is one more play than any of our OLBers or linemen made in postseason.
But he would not have fixed what ailed our defense all by himself, and he obviously did not put the Patriots over the top.
