Come on guys. Why the fuck would he not do it from the beginning then. Usually when a team has a big lead, they play very soft. Maybe that's the reason why.alancac98 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 4:34 amI'll believe that - it looked like a tale of two different offenses so that would explain it!Greeksteel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 4:31 amGerry Dulac

After Ben Roethlisberger led a 75-yard touchdown drive, Cris Collinsworth wondered on TV, “Where’s that been all night?” I’ll tell you where: He finally said heck on those plays he’s getting in his helmet and decided to do things his way. Trust me.

Who keeps inserting him into the lineup?
Who keeps signing off on these prehistoric offensive game plans?
Who decided to give the OC job to a guy with no experience at this level?
Yes we are. Certainly top 3 coach in this league.StillerInCT wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 4:19 amG.O.A.T. Worst stretch by any team in NFL history. I’m sure it’s not his fault.
Doesn’t matter if it’s Patrick Mahones. Tom Brady, of Scrubs McNoodle Jibbs D is giving up a 40 burger.

Then Ben could have the game all himself without that big ducking cockhead in the booth
The d wouldn’t have been gassed after 2 quarters
And tvr shit show wouldn’t have happened
But you know. We do what we do

Thanks, Ben. Your rookie season was the first in which I watched every Steelers game (yeah, yeah, I'm not an old fuck like the rest of you), so I've never known another Steelers QB. It was an absolute privilege to start every year feeling like we had a real chance because of you. I think that qualifies as spoiled by anyone's standards.
In retrospect the Steelers' last 3 years have been a dog and pony show that I'm happy to see come to a close (for better or worse), but we'll always have the memories of those first 6-7 magical seasons. And hey, the Killer B's era, for all its frustrations, was a fun little second act.
(Come to think, I actually don't remember the early 2010's at all though. What the hell were we doing those years?)

More JuJu on Ben: "Honestly, I’ll tell you this, when he goes no-huddle, when he’s playing backyard football, it’s unbelievable. For a guy to tell five guys where to go, then figure out what the defense is doing, disguises and all that, that right there, you can’t make it up."
Ben Roethlisberger is retiring, but JuJu says players are trying to talk him into staying. "I think Ben’s still got it, honestly. After this I’m going to go see Ben and say ‘What’s up, you going to come back next year?’"
It was ironic how pissed off the coaches got at Ben for saying he drew the play up. It was like they felt threatened by Ben. It’s also why dipshit in charge always always always blames “execution.”Greeksteel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 5:29 amMore JuJu on Ben: "Honestly, I’ll tell you this, when he goes no-huddle, when he’s playing backyard football, it’s unbelievable. If Ben is able to look honestly at things he won’t be back
Horrible WR and RB units
A young OL that needs seasoning
A TE unit that might be ok on a good team
A fading fast GM who has overseen a vast decline in the scouting and development dept
A HC who props up a figurehead DC with a defense that can’t compete when it counts; and has shown zero understanding of modern offense
A defense that might have 3 above avg players
Ben could play well on a good team
This team sucks
To many idiot fans who blame the QB for everything as well

“Don’t blink. If you’re a blinker, cut your eyelids off. This is not going to be for the faint of heart. We understand what type of game we’re in. It’s going to take a ridiculous effort, and 60 minutes of it. And we’re excited about it.”
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."

Go back to the Eagles game last year and read the comments by the coaches. They toned down no huddle throughout the year (despite the O stalling) and basically scraped it this year except in dire situations despite the O being terrible.jeemie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 6:12 amAs this in the press conference? The coaches would rather lose their way as opposed to being exposed as morons.
