I remember them. He sucked as bad as Dobbs. That's not saying much...
I remember him being wide eyed and "holy fuck!! NFL!!!"
But I remember him being able to hit a wide open 6'4" WR on a slant.

The fact William Gay is even in camp tells you everything you need to know about our secondary

17??? in just one half?? Just....speechless. That is amazing a defense which was playing a lot of #1s could give that up to a 2nd string QB and 2nd/3rd team offensive players.

Dobbs may be unimpressive, but it's almost like Haley is sitting there "I'm going to make you look as bad as possible".
Seriously! It's like they're playing different games...
This Tomlin/Haley offense would embarrass a Pop Warner team.

I know it's preseason and vanilla but
concerned that a team that wants to rely on individual matcnups to win seems to have so little playmaking ability. They seem to play so slow ....
Vince Williams, toussaint, cockerel and gay in particular

Just jumped into the thread have not read yet but a few points I liked.
#14 looked like he belonged.
#10 looked awkward to start off football fast and with live hitting is a different speed (he will be fine)
# 30 needs to calm down and let a play come and not run like his hair is on fire.
#45 is one of my favorite sports stories ever.
#90 looks a little ho hum but they probably gave him a giant spoonful of info to register .
#56 seems to be able to handle game speed better now.
If I were #5 I would want to work on crossing routes and taking advantage of #17 & #15 using speed at about ten to twelve yards downfield.
#81 I hope to see more but if he can be eighty percent Mark Bavaro in blocking and burn a D for a quick twenty five yard completion if not just a fifteen every now and again with five to nine TD's would be awesome and thanks.
#91 is amazing (<-- FYI)

i know talent is need d to win but this team and staff seem to purposely disavow using scheme and intelligence to gain advantage

No worries this is all part of the plan. To disguise their strengths and work out their weaknesses. What preseason is for. sarca/

It's his first nfl game. He wants to impress. He's young. We'd all be on hyperdrive.

Steve Johnson may be done in Pittsburgh. Allows someone else an opportunity.

I don't think dobbs is going to make it but his receivers aren't helping him
A little lazy with the routes and effort IMO

With Steve Johnson likely out I'm rooting for Galambos. Dangerfield missed an opportunity to pick off Simms. Like to see Hagen get his due as well.

Two throws to a rb in the flat and he drills it. He has no touch. Meanwhile, Conner is beating himself up.
