I defend Tomlin on occasion. But Harbaugh’s choke jobs are definitely becoming more epic than either Cowher’s or Tomlin’s.

It wasn’t about the time on the clock it was about not starting the clock at 2nd and 4 or 3rd and 4. Baltimore wanted them to start at 1st and 10 to make sure they maximized the yardage before the clock started so they didn’t have to worry about a premature first down.

Why do you think that is the case? Because getting a first down with the clock moving was way worse than giving up the first down. So yes the penalty was precisely about the clock and therefore the penalty should be about the clock.
