So long Pal Joey! I was glad when they got rid of your ass in 2007, and I am ecstatic now!

I'm just going to enjoy Peezy being gone for a while before I move on to anything else.

Said Butler is staying because he allows Tomlin to have a large say in the defense and most D-coordinators wouldn’t be down with that.
Dulac also said that especially at the end of the season Tomlin had more control of the defense then Butler.

Yeah, they can just go right ahead and fuck off with that one.

BTW, what kind of cuckold does this make Butler to wait around years for Lebeau to leave, and then let Tomlin call the shots?

Probably explains why the defense prefers to watch rather than play.

Great. Can’t manage the clock because he’s too busy trying to coach the D. Yet, only makes it worse.

If that statement by Dulac is true, there's like 10 different reasons why it pisses me off, and I can't even pick the worst one.

There is a lot of truth here. I mean look at tomlin’s responsibilities during game day! Is there any surprise that one of the biggest critiques of the last 10 years has been how unprepared we often look week to week? Look at what’s going on with the coaching.

...and add in Haley to the mix and it's really revealing. Maybe Tomlin's looking for coaches who will let him fuck their wives.

Peezy was once not soft.

I haven't seen a PS lockerroom video in years that had shown some chemistry, just the AB insubordination FB live.

I think the Peezy firing came from EMR. Which is good, because Aviators is FUCKING NEXT

Actually, my guess the new coach will be picked based on his ability to help/work closely with TJ Watt. Watt will be a big leader on this defense next year - Cam's #2, if you will.

Someone called Butler a cuckold but it's even worse than that. Butler gets credit as a DC while Tomlin really coaches the D. Because Butler is listed as DC, the failures fall on him which will probably prohibit him from getting another job as a DC as the narrative will show him as incompetent especially in key situations (3rd and 20, dime at the GL, etc).

Tomlin has screwed over Butler and Butler will have to get a job as a LB coach or QC coach to continue to be employed in the NFL or maybe take a job as a DC in college. He should've left years ago while Lebeau was around and went to whatever job(s) he was offered to build up his craft and make his name instead of waiting for Lebeau to retire or die and then he could come back as a quality hire candidate for DC or even HC if his cred proceeded him and not as an act of nepotism.

Have fun Butler w/ the pig stye you've decided to live in.

Still on the staff but the Jets prob won't change anyone until they hire the new HC to see what shakes out.

But but but we are constantly told here that Tomlin delegates and lets his coordinators coordinate.

At least now when some former pickle ball player comes out of nowhere and lights up our defense we can (appropriately) bitch about the person that’s really running the D...

Glad Porter was let go. Decent player but offers nothing as a coach. Don’t stop the firing there.

So let me get this straight..........

A) Butler's unit wasn't producing to the point where Tomlin had to take over but that isn't enough of a reason for him to lose his job?

B) When was it that the D gave up 2nd half leads in 4 of 6 games and cost us a playoff spot? Hmmmmmmm Wasn't that at the end of the season?

Doesn't that mean the NEITHER of them should be overseeing the Defense?

Heavy Sign !!!!

Exactamundo.

Tomlin “taking over” just punches a larger hole in the dike.

Need a new DC.
