We retain Matt Canada.
That’s all you need to know about where this franchise currently is. A playoff team with Justin Herbert realizes they need to get better to compete in the AFC.
The Steelers think “everything is fine” because we beat the Panthers and the Browns at the end of the season last year and preserved NHALS.
This team is dumb. This franchise is dumb.

Former NFL defensive coordinator Ray Horton and current Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks joined the suit in April, alleging similar discrimination with the Titans and Cardinals, respectively.
In an Oct. 7 motion to the court, the coaches' attorneys argued against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell overseeing the arbitration process, alleging he's too biased to serve impartially.

Looks like Flores name is coming up for positions again..........Head Coach or DC with several teams
We may lose him.

Flores was named one of the three finalists for the Arizona Cardinals head coach position, joining Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo and New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka. Flores was a late addition to the Cardinals' second-round interviews before the team closed the door on other candidates.
Now, Minnesota has moved Flores into the top spot for their search and will wait on him to seemingly decide between Arizona and the Vikings.
Flores is also scheduled to interview for the Broncos for their DC position.

If Flores gets the Arizona job, not sure that should count towards NHALS coaching tree. Maybe a small bud but not a branch

Picks up a hitchhiker as he entered California.
The hitchhiker warned of a cliff at the end of the highway, that falls into the Pacific.
Does the hitchhiker get credit if the car does not go off the cliff,
even if the hitchhiker jumps out as the car is going full speed toward the cliff.

Whizenhunt, Grimm and Arians all ended up in AZ after Pittsburgh. Maybe it's the weather this time of year?
Team should have stipulated it was a 2 year gig when they brought him in.
Looking more like we aren’t going to get shit for him now.
Waste of time

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 82 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Steelers’ assistant coach Brian Flores is accepting the Vikings’ defensive coordinator job, per source.
Another question mark in the storied career of Jibbs

Is Tomlin going to claim that Flores is from his “tree”???

“Thoughts are a waste of time for me.” - Michael Pettaway Tomlin
It is interesting. I a former HC/DC doesn't want to coach LBers underneath both Tomlin and Austin. And it's more money, obviously which is enough on its own.BethlehemSteel wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 10:53 pmAnother question mark in the storied career of Jibbs
But if you liked where you were at, I don't know if I'd jump at a DC gig when the real prize is HC. And we can probably also assume [for anyone who hadn't already] that Tomlin isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Think Tomlin looking to replace him I don’t think that going to happen. Wonder now we see what type of impact Flores had. I thought Kenny even praised him for helping him out
I think the only time an assistant getting hired by another team should count as a branch on a HC's tree is if that assistant learned something from that HC that the new team wants to incorporate. I don't think that's the case with Flores, so I would say no.rooneytunes wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 8:54 pmIf Flores gets the Arizona job, not sure that should count towards NHALS coaching tree. Steelers are better off without Flores. Shocked he didn’t stay as favor to Steelers so they get picks. I posted some of the stuff he did as head Coach that was only top of iceberg. He runs cover zero that’s it. Not really impressed by him.
Flores in no way shape or form is part of the currently non-existent Jibba Jabber coaching tree.
Flores cut his teeth and learned under Belichick. That’s who’s tree he comes from.
Period.
It’s not even worthy of debate.
