You missed a great game. You guys get caught up in the picayune shit the league calls, which I get, but they still play ball and there is some beauty there.

It’s like that in EVERY game for like the last 15 years. There’s so much over officiating and so many picayune calls that pop up at critical times.

Btw...Spagnuolo's D looks like astrophysics compared to T. Austin's middle school defense. It's so humiliating that we have coordinators that are this backwards.

Tomlin simplified the defense significantly. You'd think that'd mean there's less communication errors and blown assignments, but come December year after year those breakdowns occur like clockwork.

And in January, that shit just isn't going to cut it. Spags runs one of he most complex defenses you'll see, and he's confusing the hell out of the shitty QB's across the league.

And I'll reiterate that last point. QB play is down tremendously from where it was a decade ago.

IDK about that. I think there’re are some really good QBs now, as there were then. Lamar, Mahomes, Allen, Daniels, Stafford, Burrow. Those cats are dynamite. And there is a very good next tier in Purdy, Herbert, Love, Nix, Baker, Murray. There are always about 5 elite QBs, another 5 great ones, and a handful of very good guys.

You don't think it's worse now than ever? Particularly with personal fouls? I happen to think that the replay assist, when used properly, is a good thing, but why in the FUCK, is it not permitted to correct fouls that never happened?? And I hope mahomes gets his ass handed to him next week with his slide, fake slide bullshit. I used to like this guy but he could make me do the unthinkable...root for the ravens next week. Sooo hoping the bills win today.

I actually think it’s not quite as bad as when they first introduced the defenseless receiver bullshit.

In 2020, the AAF league had an eye on the sky official, who—without any lengthy delays—corrected errors on anything—spot, TD, fumble, and penalty… ANY penalty. It worked like a charm about 95% of the time. Why the NFL doesn’t have that and why they don’t use existing chip & RFID technology for spotting the ball I can only assume is because they like it this way.

I think the NFL changes this next year and allows replay assist to pick up or throw obvious flags, like the 3-4 missed facemask penalties in prime time games this year, but the NFL has made it clear and obvious they are going to help the Chiefs any way they can, got to keep the Swifties tuning in, and now toss in Catelyn Clark who was in the box for some strange reason yesterday (I say that in jest, they are trying to get as many ladies tuning in as they can)

You’re probably right, I just can’t get past the ridiculous calls that changes the game, momentum , points etc. It ruins it for me. How about that safety from KC at the end? How is that not a blatant link to Vegas odds? Make the league look like the WWE.

You’re probably right, I just can’t get past the ridiculous calls that changes the game, momentum , points etc. It ruins it for me. How about that safety from KC at the end? How is that not a blatant link to Vegas odds? Make the league look like the WWE.

The safety was strictly to waste time while not giving up the risk of a runback TD. Giving up two points to keep it a two-score game was a no-brainer move with 11 seconds left in the game.
