I hope you’re right about B2B about Anderson. Maybe just can’t forget the one play in came into for an inured player and gave up a sack. I am hoping they have something in Cook but hopefully they watch the waiver wire

B2B I get it with your take on the GB WR. But I just can’t Fathom this FO will go into another season with the same WR issues I think that what frustrates me so much that they again will hamstring this team.

Add to that my concern that Fautanu seems ideally suited to play LT or LG, not RT and the whole thing is a giant question mark.
This part, for sure
Fautanu was the best player on the nation's best offensive line (Joe Moore Award in '23) leading into his being a first round pick. He's an incredible athlete; long arms and he's explosive.

Bundle it all with a nasty demeanor and an attitude for leadership. He is going to be a star no matter where he finds his home on the line.

"Absolutely," Boyd told Pittsburgh Sports Now at his youth camp on Saturday. "You know, all my family is here. I'd be able to have the majority of them be able to support me."

At the right price; I’m thinking he can be an upgrade over Woods or Miller.
Boyd has primarily been used as a slot receiver over his NFL career

Boyd would have been a great add about 3 years ago.
Now he's pretty much washed, so he'll fit right in with the rest of the WR clowns not named Metcalf.

I don't expect the Steelers to sign anyone from this group. I predict they'll grab one after cutdown day or make a trade (7th rounder) with a WR deep team.

Beat me to the edit I was planning, post above adding there are several known deep rosters they can potentially have trade options with…lol.

I actually prefer they go this route as well.

Doubs or Wicks might be the guys on the hot seat
Been saying forever they should hit up Green Bay, who is FUCKING LOADED with young WR talent , and pry loose one of those guys to line up opposite Metcalf.

The only reason they probably won't is because it will cost the draft capital they will need to move up for a QB next year. But that's also why I would propose to Green Bay a trade where they receive TJ Watt and the Steelers get their #1 pick next year and one of their young WR's + maybe a 4th or 5th round pick.

They do not need all those young WR's and they will not miss one of those guys. Green Bay would happily give up a first rounder for TJ because that very possibly would make them Super Bowl favorites with the Eagles and Lions.

There were multiple accounts written last year, that the reason Boyd was not signed, had more to do with his fit within the locker room

Apparently, there are multiple senior players that absolutely do not like him

The articles gave no hint or indication of who those players might be

But given the general age composition of the team, I guess it would be either Cam, Minkah or TJ

Add to that he’s clearly on the very tail end of his career, there’s seemingly no real upside to bringing him on

Really think safety is off the list until draft 2026.

Elliott, Thornhill, Ramsey, Castro and Killebrew.

Not to mention Kyler McMichael, Quindell Johnson, Cory Trice are in the mix.

OT I think is fairly safe line up. Jones, Fautanu, Anderson x2, Cook & Warren.

Receiver is the one position that needs/requires addressing before game 1 start.

Once the final cuts to 53 begin I think the receiver market will become very interesting.

Even if it requires pulling someone off of a practice squad.

Got me thinking….. :?

Even with the likelihood of adding a WR not currently on the roster…

A Very Early 53 wild guess.

QB- Aaron Rodgers, Mason Rudolph, Will Howard
RB- Jaylen Warren, Kenneth Gainwell, Kaleb Johnson, Trey Sermon
FB- DJ Thomas-Jones
TE- Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith, Darnell Washington
WR- DK Metcalf, Robert Woods, Calvin Austin III, Ben Skowronek, Roman Wilson
OLINE- Broderick Jones, Troy Fautanu, Calvin Anderson, Dylan Cook,
Isaac Seumalo, Zach Frazier, Mason McCormick, Max Scharping, Spencer Anderson
DLINE- Cam Heyward, Keeanu Benton, Derrick Harmon, Yahya Black,
Dean Lowry, Daniel Ekuale, Isaiah Loudermilk
EDGE- T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, Nick Herbig, Jack Sawyer
ILB- Patrick Queen, Payton Wilson, Cole Holcomb, Malik Harrison
CB- Joey Porter JR, Darius Slay, Cory Trice, Beanie Bishop, Brandon Echols
S- Jalen Ramsey, DeShon Elliott, Juan Thornhill, Miles Killebrew, Sebastian Castro
LS- Christian Kuntz
P- Cameron Johnston
K- Chris Boswell

If the FO waits until roster cut downs to add another outside receiver, they are making a mistake, imo.

First, every team in The league know the Steelers are looking for another receiver

Second, that hypothetical player has to deal with Tomlin’s asinine moving train challenge

I’m hoping they are waiting to resolve the Watt contract and then go get the additional receiver- before camp

The 53 to me Is a challenge more so this season.

Sermon has some really favorable NFL experience, a former 3rd RND pick.

If CB is the priority then I can see Donte Kent being that final corner added. KR ability gives him an advantage.

Tomlin has historically disliked DB's doing any kind of return duties for some idiotic reason.

I'm convinced Ike Taylor could have done significant damage on kick returns. Dude was lightning.

Thinking between Calvin Anderson and Dylan Cook they have essentially two swing tackles.

As well as a swing guard, Spencer Anderson can play RT in a pinch too.

I respect your opinion on the tackles and know they they gave Anderson a two year deal and they liked Cook being a possible answer I am still very concerned and would not be shocked to see them add at some point. As far as the WR it really unreal can they actually believe their ok after last year mess
