Made me laugh out loud. Thanks.the-other-burg wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 10:51 pmIts pretty remarkable what Rudolph has endured in half a season.
1. He got killed on the field of play (actually just knocked unconscious.) He layed motionless on the field, and then since the kart was broken, he had to be walked off with a helmet and no facemask - looking like a bobbling drunk - which was a fucking weird optic.
2. He got clocked on the head with a helmet during a fight - which is something I dont think has ever happened before - and absolutely dominated the media.
3. He got publicly called a racist as a result of that fight.
4. He got fined 50k (does a QB ever get fined?)
Thats a careers worth of weird shit in a handful of games. Crazy.
The only thing dull about this guy is his QB play.
Did the Duck earn a starting position next week?
Re: Did the Duck earn a starting position next week?
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
Regardless of anything and everything else, I just want to see an NFL game with 60,000 people blowing duck calls.....

No shit...excellent post. Had me laughing too. The fine...that is hilarious, unfortunately Steeler QBs do get fines and punishments! I wonder what Colbert was saying to Mason on the sideline at the end there?
And “no I am not wired”...”just like mouths and words directed at my lapels Mason”
I'm also contemplating cashing in on Duck Dodgers jerseys, you know, before he sucks and everyone starts hating him.

Jobu I think there is actually a big difference in physical talent. Arm strength, speed, quickness, and hip movement; the difference doesn’t jump out and say hello, but it is significant and there.Jobu wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 10:02 pmHodges has some swagger to him. There’s just no confidence to Rudolph. As far as physical talent goes, there isn’t much difference, neither is good enough.
That said, Tomlin and Fichtner need to do a better job at putting their QB in favorable situations.
I just can’t be too excited about a 6 point win over the awful Bungals. I hope I’m wrong, but I fear the Steelers won their last game of the 2019 season today.
If I'm Tomlin, I let them duke it out one more week in practice and keep the cards to my chest as long as possible. If somehow, Rudolph has a good week, you put him out there, but on a short leash. Maybe one quarter.
If Rudolph doesn't win it I ride Duck the rest of the way. If he's even the second coming of Bubby Brister we can win games with this defense.

Why give the benefit of the doubt to Mason? It takes balls to use the racial slur in a 4K world, and it takes balls to accuse someone of using a racial slur in a 24/7 news 4k world.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 10:33 pmOh, I'd love to see Garrett dead. Now more than ever.
I just didn't think anybody with a working brain actually believed Rudolph used a racial slur.
It is simply he said he said. You could make fiction and non fiction that would be pretty powerful for both sides.
Franchise QBs don’t get their helmets torn off and used to crack their own craniums!
The week leading up to Hodges start in LA, I watched a good bit of his college action. I see a one read QB with marginal arm talent. I didn’t see a lot of speed or quickness either. What he did show was a confidence and good decision making, albeit against some lower level talent.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 11:32 pmJobu I think there is actually a big difference in physical talent. Right now he’s the best option, but I’m not confident of success going forward.
Of course this is just my un- expert opinion...I could very well be wrong.

You thought FSU & Georgia were lower level talent? Think about who Duck was playing with in those games.Jobu wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 11:49 pmThe week leading up to Hodges start in LA, I watched a good bit of his college action. Well I am no expert either. I am just going by his passes today and his roll-out capability. His balls seem to be in the catch zone an awful lot.Jobu wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 11:49 pmThe week leading up to Hodges start in LA, I watched a good bit of his college action. That awesome catch by DJ, that was low and caught at the very last second is indicative of a ball being in the catch zone. Nobody but DK catches it, and yet DJ could have caught it a second earlier too.
He can adhoc pass too!
Wouldn't surprise me if we see the Lynch Meister before the season's over.
There was a Steelers lineman caught with Rudolph and Garrett going at it. At the start of the fracas. He didn’t hear it. Nobody heard it. Isn’t even brought up until after Garrett is suspended indefinitely.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 11:39 pmWhy give the benefit of the doubt to Mason? But yeah. I’m thinking that’s horseshit.
Who was the black guy that Garrett punched earlier this year to get a big fine.
Did Delaney Walker use a racial slur too?

But listen...once again I’m just giving my uneducated opinion. I don’t really want or need to argue about it, because hopefully we’ll get to see how he does in the next several weeks. And I’ll be hoping that he succeeds, because if he succeeds the Steelers succeed. I’m just not as confident as you guys right now. I just hope we won’t all be screaming for Paxton Lynch in a couple of weeks...

Ummm no it doesn’t. Quite the opposite.and it takes balls to accuse someone of using a racial slur in a 24/7 news 4k world.
Garrett nor Smollet have balls. They have vaginas and a lack of any type of moral fiber.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
Honestly, I think it was a hail mary to reduce his suspension and he never expected it to leak.
Shit, if that was me with millions of dollars at risk I would have done it, too. I wouldn't have doubled down on Twitter or anything like that, but otherwise fuck Roger.

Most franchise QB's would have gotten away from the fracas. Mason got whacked because he went back TOWARD the fracas.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 11:39 pmFranchise QBs don’t get their helmets torn off and used to crack their own craniums!

OMG, this should be a promotion! They should hand out duck callers at the gate! Then when the Browns have the ball, everyone cuts loose with the duck calls. That would be the greatest thing ever!

Well, you're gonna have to put down you beer, because you need one hand for your terrible towel and the other for the duck call....
And HOLY CRAP the cheapest from Duck Dynasty is $20!!!! I'm in the wrong business.

Hodges with a band of nobodies and little protection was 39-60 475 yds, 2 TD, 4 INT at FSU. Samford led into the 4th Q. He was 26-35, 227 YDS, 2 TD vs Georgia.Jobu wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 12:11 amWell maybe FSU.Now I’d have to go rewatch, but I don’t recall him being all that effective in those games.

Someone should seriously start passing it around Pittsburgh that everyone should show up to the game with a duck caller.

I'm sorry I can't condone this. How can anyone in good-conscience call a man a duck? That's specist! That's ducked--up man, really ducked up.

Mason sucks but many fans were going to dislike him, regardless. Mason never had a chance with the Steelers fan base.
Hell, more than half of the Steelers fan base hate Ben, so Rudolph had no chance.
MR hasn't played well no matter what you or KC or any other Steelers fans say.
He NOW has played his way to the bench. Stop policing game day forums and deal with it.
