So…

Top 3 to see field in terms of snaps are now:

DJ
George

And?

Boykin?
Sims?

Maybe next year Golson/Rainey 2.0 sees the field and is our Tyreek?
Golson was a cb. Let’s hope Austin is NOT willie Reid who had to shut it down with that same injury

Will be great to guarantee Pickens more snaps. guessing we see a rotation of.simms and gunner in That slot role

This Claypool move (& now Jackson III) has Andy Weidl written ALL over it, imo. The dude has been a major wheeler-n-dealer in Philly.

Glad to get their 2nd, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Claypool excel in CHI. They are building something there and are about to get better.

You’re kidding right? Of course I know what position Golson was…..he never saw the field. That’s where I was drawing the comparison.

Obviously this is a good trade value,

But I think the tendency to declare that any player who struggles in Canada’s offense is garbage is wrong. Claypool was good before Canada, everything looks bad under Canada, every reason to think Claypool will look good after Canada.

But trading one season of Claypool for a better pick than you spent to get him in the first place is a big value win.

Ehhh, Claypool fell off a cliff after Wk10 of his rookie year.

One-trick pony the league figured out and he doesn't have the discipline or work ethic to take that next step.

The league figured out our entire offense at that point and we haven’t adjusted a route since.

That’s not on claypool.

This is theft of Chicago. I can't believe we got close to a 1st rounder for Claypool. He can fall down and mis-time his jumps in the Windy City now. What is Chicago smoking?

Brilliant move. I like Simms in the slot and Boykin is depth on the outside. Gunnar sucks but hopefully Austin will make something of his promising camp start (next yr).

The big issue I had with Chase when he was drafted was that he lacked change of direction skills. So, he would have to be physically dominant at the catch point and in the air. Well, he just hasn't been. When I saw him jogging some routes in the Buffalo game I was done with him.

Kudos to Omar and Andy.

Picture this: Chase running post wide open on scheme. Ball hits him in stride at full speed. He trips over his third knee with ball hitting ground.

Never like seeing our draft picks walk out the door, especially ones with as much natural talent as Claypool while we're grooming a young QB. That said, even if the pick is in a similar spot we got great return. The "problem child" report seems curiously timed, but i'm glad it didn't escape before we fleeced the Bears. The Tampa Bay game where he balled out probably helped our cause.

It will be interesting to see who replaces him in the slot, but this looks like more snaps for Olszewski or Sims in the short term, would also be interesting to see a guy with the length of Boykin get some RZ shots as well.

Tomlin at home, sitting in his sectional….thinking that they may not make the playoffs this year.

But that a .500 record is still in play.

Just need to go 6-2-1 over last 9

Should be cake

PFT saying it’s the Bears #2. That’s tremendous. We currently hold the 3rd overall pick and the Bears have the 6th. There is also only 31 1st round picks next year so we’d be holding #3, #34 and #37 overall.

Will Anderson
Joey Porter Jr
Cameron Ward

That would be one helluva haul

This is great news. Maybe we can flip whoever we draft for a 3rd or 4th round pick in 3 years after he regresses under our exceptional coaching staff. Endless possibilities here. I'm sure Tomlin will be chomping at the bit to destroy someone's future earning potential.

This is what I’m most concerned with.

Steelers could possess the #1 overall pick and still completely blow it.

It’s obvious, the scouting, drafting, and development of players is sorely lacking with this organization.

We have very littler reason to trust this current administration.

Yeah I have no faith at all. There's like 4 players on the squad that we drafted that haven't regressed or weren't total shit from the get-go.

While I'd love for the Bears to end up 3-14 and having the #2 draft spot (with us having the 1st, of course), after watching them play some I think they may end up closer to 7-10 this year.

So, IF (big if) we get the #1 pick, I think we're more likely looking at draft picks....

#1
#32
#40-ish from the Bears.
#64

Now, move down a few spots to #3 (say with CAR -- they need a QB) and grab another early and late 2nd from them....and we might be in business.

#3
#32
#34 CAR
#40 Bears
#57 CAR
#64
#96

One can dream, I guess....

We aren’t getting the number one overall. Just stop with that pipe dream.

TJ will come back and as a result we will squeak out some games we might have otherwise lost without him.

I’m thinking at best we land between 5-10.

I’m hoping for better but we competing with teams that will certainly mail it in down the stretch while Jibbs will be scraping for any win he can get.

Based on what we’ve seen this far, it’s plausible to think this team will not win another game this season

The Canada factor alone is enough to make this plausible.

Also, Pickett is just awful…not entirely his fault. The weather is about to change for the worst, and there is reason to think, Pickett will have some issues pushing the ball through the harsh Pittsburgh elements, especially with his small gloves hands.

I think, at least the Steelers are picking #5.

It's almost like we're BEGGING opposing defenses to scrub the film and take away that 3-yd out

I, for one, am really interested to see where the ball goes if the defense takes away our WR screens...

I take that comment back a little.

Pickett isn’t awful, he’s told to operate an awful offense, schematically void of NFL route combinations, and heavy on PA rollout, sprint out passes, that 16 year old high school QB’s are running.

Pickett is just in a bad situation and it’s going to be difficult to assess him fairly.

That had better not be the case. Otherwise it’s a major organizational fail to take that kid in the first round.

I’m trying to like KP but given my severe lack of trust in the coaches, scouts, FO, and ownership I naturally default to them doing something dumb.

KP developing into a stud top QB goes against the grain in terms of what this staff has been putting on tape.

I’m already waaay skeptical of his arm strength based on what I’ve seen so far.

Not a single “wow” throw thus far.

Who’s to say they want to take it away???

I’d bet DC’s are saying ok, if that is all you are going to try to do then have at it….

Could be DC’s will simply allow us to do what we do knowing we need perfect execution over 15 play drives.
