I don't trust Dulac that much, but the team would have been incredibly negligent not to at least discuss a QB change at some point this year. I don't consider this ground breaking news. They fired their offensive coordinator. It's obvious shit isn't working on offense.

I don't know what we're debating here because they ultimately didn't bench Pickett no matter what was actually said behind closed doors.

I’m actually giving this story credence because Pickett has been so mindnumbingly bad this season that the staff and the brass are likely getting pressure from the inside about the other 52 guys on the roster.

What do I mean?

I mean guys are doing their jobs out there, especially on defense and from time to time on offense, and Kenny is driving this team into the fucking dirt. They see the same film we do. Guys have been open. Look at the vids we’ve shown on this website from the All 22 this year. They see even better film and have got to be lunging at Kenny’s throat in the film room during the week.

Obvious Mitch and Mason aren’t going to drastically change everything, but you can’t keep hitching your cart to the Golden Boy just because he was taken in the first round and won the game the night they were celebrating Franco Harris.

There are 52 other guys with careers stuck in the mud and if Kenny doesn’t make it happen they all look like shit.

Which for the most part they do.

Of course he’s going to start. We burned a 1st rounder on him. They’ll let him start at least through next year so they can check the box that he had amble opportunity to develop.

Pickett's ability has plenty to do with it. He was 14-9 as a starter (with what, 6 or 7 game winning drives?) when he left that game yesterday. The Steelers firmly in the playoff race.

So yeah....his ability has plenty to do with why Pickett will be the starter when he returns.

Nobody would disagree that Pickett needs to play better, but as your boy Jibbs clearly stated in one of his recent post game press conferences, guys like Tomlin and Pickett will ultimately be judged on wins....and Kenny isn't doing too shabby in that department.
