I mean, Mahomes Brady Rodgers Brees didn’t even get on the field as rookies
It's a very different league from 15-20 years ago when Brady, Rodgers and Brees started.

Seems most rookies get on the field now, sooner than later, unless they are pretty raw. Many guys are running NFL offenses in college, and the NFL is now incorporating more college concepts. It's just not the same leap that it used to be where guys needed a few years or more to develop.

mahomes stayed on the bench as a rookie, allen got on the field and looked bad.

Really, there have been four good rookie QBs since Ben. Wilson, Watson, Murray, Herbert.

Wilson took over an offense where Tarvaris Jackson was getting 6.9 YPA and improved on it.
Watson took over an offense Hoyer had 7.1 YPA in and improved on it (he more immediately replaced tom savage, but i don’t think savage is useful)
Murray took over an offense where Carson Palmer had 7.6 YPA and was comparable (more immediately replacing josh rosen, who is also not a useful measuring stick)
Herbert took over from Rivers who had 7.8 YPA and was comparable/a bit lower (herbert is currently sporting a 6.3 this year)

So, two good passing offenses and two average passing offenses despite bad (but not RosenSavage terrible) QBs.

Pickett is taking over a passing offense where a 1st ballot HoF QB had 6.2 YPA, or 5.7 YPA when actually running the system.

More the exception than the rule these days. Like I said, MOST 1st/2nd round rookies are starting many, if not most, games as rookies. Allen had mechanical issues to work out. Mahomes wasn't coming from a pro style offense, I don't think.

It's a very long list. Eli started about 9 games as a rookie, and more and more rookies have been starting every year since Ben broke the mold. Justin Fields started 10 games last year. Trubisky started 12 as a rookie. Joe Burrow started 10. Trevor Lawrence all 17 last year. Zach Wilson 13 games for NYJ as a rookie.

I can go on and on and on. Most top QB draft picks are starting, a lot, as rookies. Kenny's problem likely isn't that he's a rookie. He may just not be very good.

You'd think the second coming of Kirk Cousins could at least make this offense better than (checks notes)... 32nd out of 32 teams in yards per play.

Kenny Pickett vs 5 other 1st year rookie starters:

KP:
1st in comp %
4th YPG
6th in TD%
6th in INT%
4th in rush YPG
2nd in rush TDs per game
4th in QBrat
6th in longest completion
5th in YPA
6th in AY/A
6th in ANY/A

It's even worse when you use just most recent 6 rookies to start multiple games:

RG3 was pretty damn good as a rookie.

Did I imagine Andrew Luck existed? And Matt Ryan was better than some others mentioned in that time frame.

And my point was very few rookies don't start.

You seemed to be using it as an excuse for Kenny sucking, as if he somehow is struggling because he was forced to start too early. Those other guys may not have been good as rookies, but they also didn't suck as bad as Kenny has so far.

Kenny also played in a pro offense in college, was 25 years old, and about as "NFL ready" as any rookie is.

And Joe Burrow wasn't awful as a rookie. His stats in the 10 games he played were almost as good as Josh Allen last year.
