It’s stratagem. When they let Ben attack, he is great. Tomlin wants to avoid mistakes when the game is close (which maximizes the impact of mistakes). This isn’t a team that will minimize mistakes, but it is a team that will make many big plays. Tomlin doesn’t understand that because he is a moron fraud.
This. Easily Tomlin's biggest fault.

Wrong. The first two runs killed it. Connor has been awful this game. Those two runs typify the mindset.
The two runs got 7 yards.
I agree with Polt that the idea that two consecutive runs are always dumb is stupid.

Very lucky to only be down by 6 at this point. Ben needs to make it happen. He has everything the way he wants it. Time to earn it.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

No he’s not...proved it in the first half.
But he seems not so good at making adjustments.

Feels like they're going to need two TDs to win this thing. One almost certainly won't be enough and 7 + 3 still probably comes down to tucker

it's like they hate when things are working sometimes especially on O. Why is Tomlin trying to make this a game of attrition especially with all the talent?

Naturally because you don’t understand basic concepts. Steelers O was cooking, Ben was in rhythm. You kill both for a running plays averaging 3.5 which sucks.

No. Just stop.
Yeah, this Fitchner is all world.
I’ll get in Fichtner for the first series...but he’s to blame for Ben misfiring to Brown on the sidelines and up the middle?

Difference in coaching rears its head in this series. Almost never easy.
5-11 team in 2015 beat Tomlin twice.

the drive died when they called for an "out" to Connor on 1st down
Connor is a check down, not a primary
