Bengals at Steelers Game Comments
Re: Bengals at Steelers Game Comments
Cowher also had a long history of undervaluing the position of QB, and the drafting and development of QBs. He got it from Marty. Consider, with Roethlisberger sitting there at the 11th pick, through a perfect storm of luck and the incompetence of other NFL GMs, he had to be talked out of, and eventually overruled by ownership, taking a fat slob of a guard from Tennessee. No offense to Tennessee.

Kordell said the same thing in an interview this past summer. He said he would love to play with all the RPO's and QB runs designed into offenses now.
Arkansas. And to be fair, he was pretty good.Ice wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 5:43 pmCowher also had a long history of undervaluing the position of QB, and the drafting and development of QBs. An Arkansan indeed. I had Shawn Andrews mixed up with Antone Davis. The Iggles drafted him as a tackle, and he ended up at guard, too. He ate his way out of the league, as well. Andy Reid loved his big uglies.

The deep shots were great in this game and extremely effective. The first one got completely taken away by the high winds, but Claypool was behind the defense. Diontae was also 5 yards clear and that ball was dropped right in the hands 40 yards down field. The third was on target but held up in the wind just a hair and Jessie Bates made a great play to come all the way from deep on the other side of the field to get a hand on it just before it reached DJ. Those throws really opened things up for the intermediate pass game, which was the best one of those Ben has had in quite some time. the 15-20 yards in the air throws were the difference in the scorebaord.tunch wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 2:10 amI've only seen the highlights of this one.
Was the entire gameplan foot on the gas?
I didn't like the early FGs. I did like handing it off to these WRs. Ray Ray is a real weapon.
Ben's deep shots on third down are bullshit with Juju, Claypool, Vance, Ebron, Johnson, and Conner on the roster. There are ways to get an easy six yards.
Please don't go strictly by what the box score says. And do you need a link to a live stream or a replay? You should be enjoying every game of this special season.

I love Ben going deep and making some big plays yesterday in some bad conditions. But they really need to get their run game going.
