Agreed. I keep seeing this talk about the o-line falling off but they've been fine.
They haven’t been fine in short yardage. Fail to get any push far too often.
Ruddy hasn’t helped in terms of their pass pro but these guys need to man up and actually bang some heads out there in the run game.
This team is just soft all over.
.
This is about to change in a major way with the insertion of bad motherfucker Finney. He will be ripping Bettis sized holes in the DL on the way to KO'ing the MLB. The run game is about to begin a blitzkrieg mein(e) homies.

Whatever happened to the Switzer Scan?

STFU...
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Haven't even started talking scheme yet cause we all know there is no scheme. There is no rhyme or reason within this currently Fichtner constructed offense. Just short passes at or just beyond the LOS and little to ZERO running game. With an OLine that includes 3 count them 3 Pro Bowlers they can't get any running game going to help this young QB gain confidence and succeed more often like what happened in Ben's first season. No they try to dink and dunk the shit out of defenses and as a result become not only Very Predictable but Very Stoppable.
Don't get me wrong, I like Mason, but...
You keep busting on Fich. It's not like the pass plays that Fich calls only have short routes at the LOS. The pass plays he's been calling also do have intermediate and deep routes. MASON is the one playing dink and dunk by mostly throwing the ball short. I'm not killing him for this, he's a first year starter who I hope will grow out of it and start effectively attacking downfield, but he is what he is for now.
I agree that this supporting cast is nowhere near as good as what Ben had as a rookie. Mason has guys who's abilities are questionable and guys who can't stay on the field.
It's a combination of Mason's limitations as a first year starter and a questionable supporting cast. Hopefully they get better with more time on the field together.

Johnny Holton will likely be the “starting” slot receiver tomorrow...

It could be worse - Switzer would be starting if he weren't on IR.

You being an idiot with a tired routine has nothing to do with my testicles.

Can’t get past the LOS Switz would have been perfect for Rudolph’s dink & dunk approach.
In other words, Switz sucking had nothing to do with Ben not being the QB.

Finney is a passable center but does not have the movement ability of Pouncey. They may be able to do more things with Finney run blocking but they also lose things if Finney has to move to block.
