The Road to the Superbowl has potholes...

Gotta love it. I just never remember this much drama related to the team in the past. Perhaps I'm getting old and starting to forget a lot of details but some of this should have never come out of the locker room.

Because Tomlin. BUT 13-3 and a first-round bye in spite of it, baby!

Just like following a trainwreck. Although, when the touchdown was called back that's when the train was totally derailed for me.
Is this how Dallas fans feel? Is what my Dad asked over the holidays.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
But there's nothing listed for week 2 or week 17

I guess it is possible that writers that need material browse message boards.
So...what?

That is what I thought exactly.....and/or that B2B might work for the Trib.

The irony of people blaming Tomlin for all the drama and then not crediting him for the team being 13-3 in spite of it is too much for me to handle.

Maybe you should soak in a hot bath and try to relieve the stress.

Read the piece....not usually one to criticize the sportswriters, but in this instance, reaching for things to label as drama....like the Joe Haden/Stephon Tuitt, and to some extent Ryan Shazier injuries.

Oh I wasn't referring to the writer. Perhaps I could have made that more clear.

I know you weren't; you were referring to the blaming of Tomlin. My point was that the writer was stretching it by placing injuries into a piece with a Drama headline.
My lone remaining potential beef with Tomlin right now....and hopefully it's negated, is having cut James Harrison rather than just telling him to go the fuck home, turn on Cartoon Network.

I'm with Swiss on this one. While it would be great to avoid a lot of this, Tomlin has us at 13-3 and the only thing that gets me going is releasing Harrison. I hope it is a non issue.

13-3 means piss if you don’t get the hardware. I’ll credit tomlin on an impressive regular season but fucking away that NE game still looms. If we lose again in Foxboro and NE wins another ring, that’s what you shouldn’t be able to handle.

I think if you were to use "adversity" instead of "drama," you can include the injuries. I'd do that. It's incredible what this team has been through this season. Every season has its ups and downs, but this one has been unique. Hell, right from the end of last season, this team could have laid down. Gotta raise a glass to the man in charge.

Sure....similar to people who blame the players, for everything that goes wrong on field, then throwing parades for the coach, when they're on an 8 game winning streak.

If drama leads us to Super bowl 7 no problem
I love it, because it bothers middle aged white Yinzers who just want everyone to shut up and hand the ball to the ref.

Not to me, 13 wins is 13 great days watching football, another great season no matter what else happens, it's just a TV Show and we've 13 great episodes. I feel sorry for people who don't get joy out of it without a ring, because you are almost never happy.

I too have enjoyed the ride but this season is different for me. This is a legacy season and what I believe to be our best chance to get Ben the 3rd ring. He deserves it, he’s a generational talent.
Tomlin knew what was at stake in the NE match and still pussyfooted around in the second half of that game while it was firmly in our control. 13-3 is tremendous but it isn’t the end game.

Drama sharpens iron.
13-3 and a first round bye.
Who's got next?

He wins it, he'll get plenty of credit.
Right now, he just has his team in a position to win.
Which is nice, but we're loaded with talent. Time to do something with it.
No excuses.

Well, if we get our asses handed to us in New England AGAIN, it'll feel like a REALLY TERRIBLE ending to this season for a my favorite TV show.
Waaaaaay too often I've had to sit thru that ending before. Kinda gets old.

Not only Ben, but I think the Steelers as an organization are at a crossroads.
Do they bend over and let NE embarrass them again, or are they finally going to man up and beat this all time nemesis. I can't think of another team that has owned them like this - that's really what this comes down too.
If it works out, it is a huge match up with a lot at stake.

Just curious...how do you know this as the fact you’re making it out to be?

13-3. 1st round bye. Because Tomlin.
Happy?
I still owe you a coffee for breaking the Haley story.
