Amazing...can Vance play defense too?
That was awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Great play, and, thankfully, still a legal play. What’s unfortunate is that so many other dominant football plays are being overturned.

Stay healthy, McDonald. The only missing dynamic piece of the offense. Run blocking and pass catching.
Finally retired: 31DEC25
He finally quit: 13JAN26

He bitch slapped that Conte

All that was missing was a crotch grab jump into the endzone.

I was just getting ready to start a thread on this topic. Heyward reaction was priceless...I was watching replays for something like this but didn’t see anything. Nice find.
The stiff arm really set the tone for the game and I will not be surprised if it ends up being a marker for the season.
I really think the stiff arm may get parlayed into a few more wins. Might be a turning point.

If healthy, Steelers TE corps is pretty good

So after Vance had a 100 yard game today and Outlaw with a 100 yard game last week, our TEs look pretty good now. I can’t deny Vance’s skill and how he owned that tackler. But I’m an Outlaw fan in general.

And it seems like Ben is really getting warmed up with both Jesse James and McDonald.
Consider this, in the last 4 games, counting the Jax Playoff game, the TEs have combined for 3 100 yard receiving games. James has one 100 yard game and McDonald two 100 games in these past 4 games.
I can't ever remember a time when Ben and Heath Miller combined for 3 100 yard games in a 4 game stretch.

I texted exactly that when it happened

And yet, we find a way to diminish it by missing the pat.
Arguably one of the most dominating plays you will see all season and we can't convert the point after.
It's a microcosm of what we are right now. Drives killed by mindless penalties. Multiple defenders around a single receiver not able to track the football resulting in a catch. Clutch kicker with missing mojo. THE holdout of the century. HC in over his head AND in denial.

Some teammates, and staff, could use some of his mentality.

Gentleman the "gay" starts and ends with Thomas Tull being minority owner. That dude had cast members of "Twilight: on Steelers side lubes, I mean lines. The hot chick in that series is gay as hell and the rest are men who play pretend for money. Uhm.... that was a decade ago these days its much worse. These days he's a liar who was duped by the Chinese and received little to nothing for his company Legendary pictures. He brings us shame every game he dances on the sideline in a 58 jersey. Voo doo is needed please pm me if you want to help.

Someone posted that the game and win felt like a loss; think it was the extra point and missed field goal that definitely contributed. The stiff arm TD; was like lighting the wick on an expensive firework, waiting for some propulsion high into the air and deafening explosions, only to find out it was a ground spinner and sparks firework when the extra point was missed and we failed to tie.
It was still an awesome play and looked like something you’d See in Madden rather than in real life.

Why didn't Ben go to them more in the second half? Steelers didn't do jack shit.

They had, what, 4 possessions? 1 was a missed FG and one ran out the clock.
Ben did go to James on the missed FG drive....but James turned the corner like he was running on ice and got tackled short of the sticks.

...and that's the issue I see with Outlaw - he's just not tough enough
Sure he has soft hands, but then again he's got soft everything

I was thinking, why wasn't that a penalty for "hands to the face" wouldn't want anyone getting hurt would we?

WTF?
If this site is a 24/7 Steelers bar, I can pretty much see the guy who stumbles in an hour and a half after the game is over, on PCP, pulling a half-finished pounder of Fourlokos out from under his ratty trenchcoat and loudly, slurringly exclaiming this.
It's the Gritty the Flyer of Steelerfury posts.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
