He's certainly turned into mine too. Love his sense of humor. Hope it doesn't change with fame and money.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

He also said that he wanted the money so the Steelers could afford to pay Bell. That made me angry. It's one thing to be loveable and vulnerable by getting your bike stolen and then balling on the football field. But when you look like an idiot, not even knowing how the financial side of things work AND selling out for "your boy" who DOES NOT DESERVE MONEY FOR NOT PLAYING, then I have a hard time supporting you. There are teammates putting it all out there for the team who deserve more money RIGHT NOW. But hey, he saved me $225 by not needing his jersey. Thanks?

You're not going to buy JuJu's jersey because he joked about giving lottery winnings to Bell? Okay.

I actually disagree with all of you on this.
Ya know what, Juju on the field, I like, but dude you have barely been in the league....can we worry about on the field stuff instead of wanting attention nonstop off the field....oh he's so cute and funny my wife says....what are we going to be saying this in 5 years?
Make plays on the field and stop talking about losers like Bell.

AB was this same dude his first few years in the league. These guys have an uncanny way of morphing into primadonnas by about year 4-5

There may have been similarities in the use of social media, but these two are not, and have never been the same guy.
Couple folks need to get back to yelling at clouds and telling kids to get off their lawn.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

At least he was willing to invest 225 in the jersey.

Good for JuJu - that was funny. Anyone taking it for anything more than that is really out there. If JuJu actually won the 1.X billion dollars, do you really think he's giving the money to the Steelers organization to get Bell on the field and he (JuJu) continues to play in the NFL?
It's a joke and I'm sure even Bell chuckled at it.
I've never bought a Bell jersey, but I have JuJu's already. He's going to continue to be a huge asset to the Steelers organization. He has a sense of humor and so far nothing has been out of line, hurtful, or disrespectful in nature. He also destroyed Vontaze Burfict on a monster block and that's put him in a special place in my book.

Clouds are cool but those darn kids will learn or be buried below the perfectly manicured lawn...it's the only way they will learn. The message will spread far and wide. Some will walk on the opposite side of the street just to avoid the mere appearance. I've also trained both of my cocker spaniels (Tomlin and Cowher, actual names; Bettis passed away last year) to enforce the no fly zone. It's brutal, you should see what a cocker spaniel does to a kid. The tail wagging, dog saliva, and fluffy hair are too much for most.
I have a similarly fearsome Chihuahua named Norm.

Uh that's why no one has a problem with Juju: he's a fuckin baller and produces.
If this was Justin Hunter doing this shit, we'd be ready with our pitchforks and torches.
Doing your job well gets you a ton of slack with your bosses/fans/peers
For whatever reason, the antics also ring a little more genuine than others.
That block on Burfict was a thing of beauty that I still call up highlights of every now and then.

How dare he joke around when he has a serious job of playing a game for a living.
Play football, must scowl.
You all get mad when Hines used to smile on the field?

He's our leading receiver by a margin of almost 100 yards and has made plenty of plays.
I'd say he's doing just fine of "worrying about on the field stuff", wouldn't you?
Like, people understand that that there's 24 hours in a day, right? It's entirely possible to devote most of the day to your craft and still have time for side projects and having fun. Some people, such as Ju Ju, have more than enough energy to do both.
And as long as he's not getting into any trouble, or affecting the team while doing it, then complaining about it is dumb.

Really? AB was filming his bicycle commute to the SouthSide facility when JuJu was in high school. He was using social media to interact with fans, buying people dinner etc. He also came off as a young, grateful, hardworking, smiling, innocent kid. The awww shucks factor. AB was by far the fan favorite by his 2nd season. Yeah, ok, no similarities.

OK, so if he eventually turns into a diva, then hate him then.
Why hate him now for something he may or may not become?
Not everyone follows the same path, you know? He may very well see the negative publicity AB gets and learn from it.

I finally ordered my JuJu Jersey. It is the Camouflage Military jersey. It came 2 days ago and looks Amazing. JuJu is my Fav Steeler now and since I'm a Disabled Vet I choose the Salute to Vets Jersey. I watched him play his whole career at USC (as I live in So Cal) and was ecstatic when the Steelers drafted him. When he knocked out Burfict he became my Fav Steeler. Funny thing is I ran into Burfict at Costco where I live (he lives not too far from where I live) and gave him Crap for that hit. He actually was a good sport about it and laughed. I had my Woodson Jersey on that day and we just happened to cross paths in the store. He saw my Steelers jersey and started jawing and I gave it back to him.

I’ll answer that. Nobody knew.

I like jokes. I appreciate funny. I can also distinguish between fact & fiction and humor & seriousness. JuJu can make all the jokes he wants. But when he makes a joke (he wasn't joking about buying the tickets, however) about supporting Bell over other teammates who actually deserve it, then I draw the line. I don't care if anyone agrees with me. It's how I feel. I'm over Bell. He's not a Steeler. And for JuJu to bring Bell's status back to the forefront and claim that he deserves ANYTHING, whether in jest or not, rubs me the wrong way. So if you like his "joke", that's fine. If you want to celebrate his position and put Bell on a pedestal, go for it. If you want your lips firmly pressed against Bell's ass, then more power to you. I, however, won't appreciate anyone, not even JuJu, propping up Le'veon Bell. That's just my own opinion, right or wrong.

Perhaps the drug use and suspensions were a sign of a selfish player? Not PEDs, recreational drugs for his benefit. Not condoning PEDs but it would have been better.
Enjoy your Bell jersey, wear it proudly.

It may have been in ‘14 before he and Blount got caught...so couldn’t predict...there was a time I thought he was the best player in football, before his knee injuries slowed down his burst.
I will not wear his jersey anymore.

Never said it harmed anyone. It just rubs me the wrong way when he bumps the Bell story AND continues the false narrative that Bell isn't in uniform because of the Steelers. Doesn't matter if it was said jokingly or not. Bell isn't in uniform because of Bell, and there's NOTHING funny about that.
Imo, JuJu should shut the fuck up about a selfish, me-first outsider who isn't about the team, isn't contributing to the team, isn't laying it on the line like the team. JuJu should be propping up his TEAMMATES and joking with them.
You all can pretend it was a joke, but it wasn't. There are some things that aren't funny, no matter who says them. This was one of them.
