Michael Thomas from Saints made highest paid WR!

Post by alancac98 » Thu Aug 01, 2019 12:15 am

The Saints just gave him a 5 yr/$100 million contract with $61 million guaranteed!

Wonder what AB is thinking now!

Damn, these contracts are just getting totally out of hand.

It’s all relative to the cap, baby.

He actually congratulated Thomas on Twitter. So he doesn't seem that mad.

Unless Thomas dubs himself the new "Mr Big Chest". In that case, we might have a situation, here.

Will be definitely relevant when it comes time to re-up Juju pretty soon. Not a first round pick, so no team option year.

Doesn't matter - he's congratulated players on big contracts before and that didn't stop him from angling for a new one in PIT. The reason he likes it when someone gets big $$ is that he believes it resets the market for him whether or not his contract is up for renegotiation.

That, sir, I can get behind one hundred percent. Will be an interesting parallel with Juju. They have had similar production so far in their careers.

They can use the option year on Watt. Sign JuJu and franchise Conner if you have to. Gonna be an expensive draft class come 2020 and 2021

JuJu is pretty far ahead in production. I want to say like 1000 yards more production in 2 years and 14 TD's to 2 TD's.

edit: are you comparing Thomas and JJSS or Assclownio and JJSS? if the former then I redact my statement.

Has to be the former. Comparing Juju's first two seasons to ABs here would make no sense. Juju and Thomas's stats are scary similar, factoring in cap increases we might be looking at Juju's floor.

Of the three, his contract would likely end up being the most reasonable.

Now this IMO is worthy of posting...

Antonio Brown's trainer sues him for unpaid services: 'Repeated pattern of conduct'..., “Indeed, Pena is one of many trainers that Brown has stiffed,” Kolodzi said. “It is a repeated pattern of conduct with Brown which assuredly will be brought to the attention of the court.”

The drama is high around Oakland Raiders camp. And ‘Hard Knocks’ hasn’t even started.

Antonio Brown, not surprisingly, is in the middle of much of it, having been placed on the non-football injury list just hours after traveling to camp via hot air balloon.

Brown has since been cleared to practice just in time for some new drama to surface.

Raiders' Jon Gruden: 'I think we're all disappointed' in Antonio Brown's continued absence from practice https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/raid ... -practice/
A 3rd and a 5th doesn't seem so embarrassing anymore does it...
