Tak'n back that Berry luv
****Original topic title "How about some Berry luv" had to be modified after the Card''s game ****
Today's game was mostly a fugly offensive display on both sides with an explosive play sprinkled in here & there. All about field position to see which O would be gifted a field short enough for a score. Yeah the Donger & Minkah provided game& field position changing explosive plays, but if Berry has a shitty game (7 punts), those plays may have never happened or mattered. Jordan's having a pretty effective season.

This high school kid says no love for Berry. He punted one 79 yards in Nebraska State Championship game....after a horrific snap to boot!

Wow is right..
I was expecting 35 yards in the air and 40+ roll.

I watched on the iPhone...I am still not sure that that didn’t happen.
They definitely shit the bed on the zoom. The zoom setting probably works for 99.999% of all high school games.

Berry's panic on the punt run today is unacceptable, he needs to try & kick that fucker. Along with his shaky game last week vs the stains I take back my Berry luv

To coach Tomlin's credit he took responsibility for that fake punt. He is providing cover for Berry. Tomlin would never make that kind of call. Never

Per Dulac - Barry said he didn’t get the call that the fake was called off.

Wow. That is a pretty bad attempt at a fake punt. Never have I seen a punter act like he was going to punt then take off. Usually it is a direct snap to the guy in front of the kicker or the kicker will immediately run/pass. To bizarre looking to be a set play.StillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 12:49 amPer Dulac - Barry said he didn’t get the call that the fake was called off.

It doesn't seem like you've watched much of Mike Tomlin the past 13 years.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 12:46 amTomlin would never make that kind of call. Never
The guy has lost games to keep things off film. He risked losing today's game to put something on film. I have no doubt.

Not sure if punter's can audible into fakes at any time, but they sure as hell should be able to audible out of one at any time if it looks like there is not a chance in hell a fake is going to work.
If we are to believe it was a "communication" issue then if Berry can't immediately see everyone else is not on the same page as he is, then he's either blind as shit and needs to run to an optometrist and get some contacts, or he's dumber than the guy who called a fake for seeing what was going down with the guys blocking up front and not kicking the ball.

I have watched most (90% or more) of the games. And I have witnessed some bad calls and not just because they failed. This would have been his 2nd worst call if he indeed made that call. His worst call was not putting his best QB in the game when they had a chance to win last year. Yes he has time management issues and challenge flag issues but on the whole he is doing a great job and this year is perhaps his best effort.Kodiak wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 1:02 amIt doesn't seem like you've watched much of Mike Tomlin the past 13 years.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 12:46 amTomlin would never make that kind of call. I don't know what you mean by keeping things off or putting something on film.

Several years ago, we lost a critical game on a conversion or 4th and goal...and Tomlin said in postgame something about "not wanting to open the vault". In other words, he was saving his best plays like he saves TO's.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 1:23 amI don't know what you mean by keeping things off or putting something on film.

Does anyone notice that he sux at trying to pin teams deep?
Every time we have to end up punting from around midfield I can;t remember the last time he dropped one inside the 10 to see if someone can make a play before it goes in the end zone

I've thought maybe he doesn't really have great feel for his distance. He's aiming for the 10, but it could end-up anywhere inside the 20 (no one knows!). I think other punters are better at putting it inside the 5.rooneytunes wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 1:36 amDoes anyone notice that he sux at trying to pin teams deep?
