When are they breaking ground for the Steelers HoF wing?

Three in this year, impressive.
This was a no-brainer.

Best safety I ever saw play the game.

Ditto. He had a unique greatness. Did things no one else ever has or will and made it almost impossible for the other team to account for him on every play. He's one of the few players I think I will always miss seeing no matter who is manning the position.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

If Isaac Bruce and Edge are in, Hines should be in.
I get it, four in one year is a bit much.

Edge is a surprise. I didn't see him as a HoFer. I haven't looked at his numbers. But TD and Warner lowered the bar, so it's not shocking.Dan Smith--BYU wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 2:50 amIf Isaac Bruce and Edge are in, Hines should be in.

I can understand Bruce getting in before Hines - Bruce has better stats. I am glad to see that neither Holt nor Wayne made it over Hines though. Hines' stats are comparable to Holt and Wayne, and Hines has better intangibles.

There is no way the Steelers will be on hard knocks, Rooney won’t let them. Selfishly, I’d love to see them be on the show. Being in Indiana, I never get to see the Steelers outside of the games.

Congratulations to Troy, the best pure football player I’ve ever seen play the game. He was special and there will never be another like him.

I give it a 90% chance of happening. The quintessential football character guy. Loud with his play on the field, but soft spoken, humble and not a side show off of it.

There IS one way they could avoid it, that would make about 95% of the fan-base very, very happy.....

I think they could not bring themselves to put 4 Steelers in at once. Bruce was a gift to someone. For me what separates these guys ends up being voted to the all-pro team. How many times were you considered the one of the best 22 ( or 44 for 2nd team) players . Polamalu 4, Hutchinson 5, Attwater 2, Bruce 1, James 4. Fanica 6. He goes in next year.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 12:01 amOne behind the Packers now with Chicago still in the lead with the most enshrined.BethlehemSteel wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 11:54 pmWhen are they breaking ground for the Steelers HoF wing?

Agreed, Faneca gets punished and three inferior players rewarded.jebrick wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 4:24 pmI think they could not bring themselves to put 4 Steelers in at once. Big Red got absolutely screwed. He started 32 more games than Hutchinson, 2 fucking seasons more, and he was all-pro one more time, went to more pro bowls and won a super bowl. In what fucking universe does Hutchinson go in before Faneca. Fucking joke. Every one of the electors should have to publicly defend their choices between Faneca and Hutchinson.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 6:30 pmAgreed, Faneca gets punished and three inferior players rewarded.jebrick wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 4:24 pmI think they could not bring themselves to put 4 Steelers in at once. Cowher was the gift. A TV driven publicity stunt. If you want to be pissed off at the a Faneca snub, there’s your reason.Baltostiller wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 8:52 pmBig Red got absolutely screwed. And how about the long flowing hair as he chased down ball carriers? He isn't just a hall of fame athlete, he's iconic.

I thought that Cowher getting in would ruin Shell's chances. Glad to be proven wrong but Faneca deserves it more than Cowher IMHO. Big red better get in next year. It will be tough with Peyton Manning and Charles Woodson locks...

So many times deep into a close game I'd be saying to myself, they have Troy, they have Troy. And on multiple occasions he would make some spectacular play that would save the day or seal the deal. He was phenomenal, can't say too many good things about him.
