Right off the bat Seymour is a not no but hell no from me. Why ?? Because fuck you thats why. Cheating bastard.
Lynch James Butler Boselli fall into the good not great category for me.
Steve Atwater......there is not one single thing he was even half as good at as Donnie Shell was. If Donnie aint in Atwater sure as fuck better not get in.
Thomas Wayne and Holt Im not against but no real strong push from me either
That leaves Faneca Troy Bruce Hutchinson Mills Young
I like Mills alot. Great LB. Young I am not sure. Are either of those 2 truly HOF worthy ??
Troy Faneca Bruce and Hutchinson I can make a pretty good case they were a cut above the rest.

During the 8 years 2110-2008 Faneca was first team all pro 6 times and second team all pro twice. He was also a member of the all decade team. Why the fuck he didn't make it last year is a joke. The torpedo was 3 time first team all pro and second team once. He should have been in long ago (along with LC). Troy was first team all pro 4 times and second team twice along with being on the all decade team.
It should be a no brainer that all 3 get in...the question is will they?

Holt and Wayne aren't any more deserving of the HoF than Hines Ward. I don't see how they get in but he doesn't. Their stats are comparable, and Ward played his career in a bad weather stadium, much of it with a run-first offense led by poor QBs. Ward didn't have an Isaac Bruce or a Marvin Harrison playing beside him either.
Add in the blocks and the highlight reel Super Bowl plays, and it would seem like Ward has a chance. Peter King, I believe, has said he's got him in.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
I'm not big on insults, but aren't you supposed to call him FFPK?
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
It is the accepted nomenclature. Sorry, nobody tell Swiss.

Can someone please tell me why Boselli makes the final 15? The dude only played in 91 games. He was very good but come on, 91 games? That is less than 6 years of play. He should not be on this list. Faneca, by contrast played in 206 games.

Patrick Willis was a head scratcher as well. Dude was the best ILB for nearly a decade and he wasn't a finalist. Did the voters punish him because he walked away in his prime?Baltostiller wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 7:34 pmCan someone please tell me why Boselli makes the final 15? The dude only played in 91 games. First team All-Pro five times, Second Team All-Pro once. Seven straight Pro bowls.
TFFPK.....gotta have the T, it's like "THE Ohio State University".

True, yet Wayne and Holt both made the finalist list but Hines didn't. Hines had a better career than either of those guys, and in worse conditions overall. Yet I have seen several articles discussing future HoF WRs that include Wayne and Holt but not Ward. I don't get it.

And Ward did it with Kordell / Maddox throwing to him for the first half of his career in a Bettis-centric offense in an outdoor, cold weather stadium. Ward didn't have an Isaac Bruce or a Marvin Harrison to take the pressure off of him, either. In Hines' prime, he had Antwan Randle El and Cedric Wilson. Adding in Hines' game-changing physicality and his Super Bowl MVP and I'd say his career was clearly better than Wayne's or Holt's. Yet Hines seems to get overlooked in these discussions for some reason. I just can't see an argument for inducting Holt or Wayne and not Hines Ward.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 10:56 pmward 12k+ 85 tds y/r 12.1 64%

Ward did have Plax briefly. For some reason I remember that in 2001, Kordell had 3000 yards passing, and Ward and Plax each had 1000.W&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 11:09 pmAnd Ward did it with Kordell / Maddox throwing to him for the first half of his career in a Bettis-centric offense in an outdoor, cold weather stadium. Not to mention a Super Bowl MVP, some highlight reel Super Bowl plays and a dimension to his game neither Holt or Wayne brought to the table.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 10:56 pmward 12k+ 85 tds y/r 12.1 64%

Wayne and Holt were in pass happy offenses and played a majority of their games over their careers indoors. Ward played in 11 out of 217 regular season games indoors over his entire career. 3 of those were in his last year. By contrast Holt played 104 of 173 games indoors and Wayne played 134 of 211 indoors. It's absolute bullshit that Ward isn't mentioned with/above these two.Ice wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2020 4:18 pmNot to mention a Super Bowl MVP, some highlight reel Super Bowl plays and a dimension to his game neither Holt or Wayne brought to the table.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 10:56 pmward 12k+ 85 tds y/r 12.1 64%

Preaching to the choir, man. On the field, Hines was special. One of my favorite Steelers I saw play.

Bumping this back to the top now that the Centennial HOF class has been announced. What are the chances that 4 Steelers go in this year?
I think it is a no-brainer that both Faneca and Troy deserve it. How can Mawae be in and Faneca not?
What is everyone's guess on the 5 that make it?

The idea of having Shell and Troy going in the same year is too good a storyline for the NFL to ignore. He's in. I think that, along with Cowher getting in (I know, the Centennial Class is supposedly separate), might set Faneca back a little, but who knows. Whoever said "book the Steelers for the Hall of Fame Game" is pretty much spot on, though. I'm personally rooting against Hard Knocks, but I think we're due.

I think we’re getting a huge NFL HOF Steelers push, an extra week of camp reports, an extra exhibition game, Hard Knocks, and a deep playoff run.

Fucking great, and hope Steelers Claus also gifts us a healthy Ben primed for his Elway-like career ending Super Bowl run. #HereWeGobradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:37 pmI think we’re getting a huge NFL HOF Steelers push, an extra week of camp reports, an extra exhibition game, Hard Knocks, and a deep playoff run.

I would think that should the football gods smile down on the steel town, and Steelers miraculously stand victorious on the first February Sunday night of 2021, Ben will ride off into the sunset with both middle fingers flying high in the direction of one Antonio Tavaris Brown Sr.Baltostiller wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:55 pmYou mean career ending TWO super bowl run, right?JackLambert58 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:51 pmFucking great, and hope Steelers Claus also gifts us a healthy Ben primed for his Elway-like career ending Super Bowl run. #HereWeGobradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:37 pmI think we’re getting a huge NFL HOF Steelers push, an extra week of camp reports, an extra exhibition game, Hard Knocks, and a deep playoff run.
