That was awesome. Watched the whole thing.

September starts Ben’s revenge tour. I have a feeling he’s going to come back with a vengeance and I can’t wait. Can’t wait!

Thanks for posting, awesome watch. Boy do I miss the combination of Ward, Burgess, and Randle El. And I really miss Gus Johnson not working for CBS!

Just so fast too.

His steps were so deliberate, efficient, and they just caused massive separation from trouble in a split second.

His squaring up is just amazing. It was like there were huge magnets on the line of scrimmage and he had metal shoulder and metal hip pads. Could run for bursts laterally for a moment, but the force on his shoulders and hips was too powerful and just forced him to square all the time, like he didn’t have control.

Then his arm...just delivered thunder and lightning, or a butterfly all with in a split second.

Amazing to watch.

And so fast and big.

The Cowboys game told me he was the real deal. Avoiding the sack and the flip to Riemersma is something few in the history of the game could ever pull off.

I could watch the Cowboys game on repeat forever

Also pretty cool watching Hines- dude always knew where the sticks and goal line was.

The good ones always show a flash. Even if they struggle around those flashes.

Mason nor Sucky Ducky showed anything impressive.

I still think Mason has the higher ceiling of the two.

Hopefully Ben can stay on the field and hoping Lynch has a good camp.

the play at 10:33 is freaking magic. Just torturing the Browns with a giant foam middle finger.

Ben's confidence level in 2004 was just sky-high until postseason.

I hope Byron is talking to Winston, telling him what a great place to be back-up QB Pittsburgh is, and we end up with Winston as the number 2.

He is not going to get a starting position unless he waits for the season to start and the first major injury.

He’d be a great back-up.

The Burress Ward El combo was sick.

Can we kick the tires on Bryant? He looked so much like Burress. Is he still suspended? I see that Randy Gregory is seeking reinstatement to the NFL.

Can Bryant not do the same?

That streak was so much fun.

I'll remember those back to back games v Pats & Iggles forever. Hines mocking TO. Bettis pulverizing Pats.

But in all that fun, one play likely ruined PS Sb chances. That Terrell Suggs late hit on Ben.

Also started my favorite PS v ravens rivalry. I always like Suggs & he genuinely respected Ben.

Ben got his revenge in that 2010 game with the amazing incompletion on game winning drive that still gives me goose bumps.

Man o man. You forget sometimes what he was like. I'm not one to watch very much old footage but maybe I should..lol.

I was at a big party during Ben's rookie year. Don't remember which game we were watching but a friend of mine played football (OG) at the high school level and university (don't get excited, it was in Canada..lol) and "had a cup of coffee" in the CFL.

Anyway, he's watching Ben. He turns to me and says "He may have the best arm I've ever seen" He played with Vince Ferragamo when he came up to Montreal (along with Steelers draft pick Keith Gary, dammit) Said Vince had a great arm and the ball made this "sound" when he gunned it to the sidelines..like a whistle.

This guy gave out superlatives for nobody and nothing so that immediately made me realize BB was as good as advertised.
Please do a John Elway for the next 2 years, son. I need it in this COVID19 era.

27:40 or so brought a tear to my eye.
Hines Ward annihilating Orpheus Roye protecting his rookie QB.
THAT is Pittsburgh Steelers football.

Oh I still remember when BR came in for Maddox.

What a year!

Hey, did you notice they used this concept called "Play Action" all the time? What's that?

He was protecting his rookie QB, all right.

But I have a feeling he would have done it anyhow.

Sat down and watched the entire thing with my son last night.

He was only 3-4 years old during Ben’s roomie year so doesn’t remember.

He’s 18 now. Ben is bout done. Sad. End of an era.

Hope he can have an Elwayesque finish.

One more SB would really cap his career and erase this past decade of futility.

I knew the Steelers selected a stud in that draft. I was so happy. I was over in Germany on a work project when Maddox got hurt in the Baltimore game, and Ben came in. Totally missed the Miami game, so am glad to see it here. People forget that Duce Staley was tearing it up the first half of the season before he got hurt. People make fun of him in the sweats, but I will always that contribution. I remember it just kept building. It was a fun streak, and Ben was really something to see then. Then the Jets game in the playoffs just brought me down to earth big time. Realized right then and there they weren't getting by the fucking Patriots. How could a 15-1 team look so bad against the friggin' Jets at home? My Cowher hate at the time boiled over. And, of course, the AFCCG happened the following week proving me right which I fucking hated. Well, at least the next season they got the one for the thumb. Ben has been a treasure, but I can't help thinking the Steelers should have won more than two during his time. Hopefully he'll get at least one more.

'04 seems like yesterday. 16 years ago now. For perspective, it's like being in 1980 and looking back on Jim Brown winning his only championship. Ok boomer.

Hopefully we don’t have to go as many years as we did between Bradshaw to Ben before we get another SB worthy QB.

There was a Sean Morey sighting in that vid.

The 2004 version of Ryan Switzer...
