Have the statues of Franco and G.W. survived?
I hope to visit Pittsburgh soon and I would like to get a few pictures before they are gone.

Don't see the point on the Mario statue.

Don't see the point of the post. If you want to keep it to football and sports. . .

The point was for informational purposes. I was trying to find out if Franco's statue is still in the airport or did it get moved to a different location. Last time I checked Franco Harris is football and sports related. I don't often fly into Pittsburgh but would not mind doing so in the near future (instead of Kentucky or Cleveland). That is about the only thing I remember about the airport. That and it is located so far away from downtown.

Anyway, I hope the HOF game is still on.

You said "war on statues."

A Franco Harris Statue.

Are you fucking serous?
Yes I did say war on statues. And yes judging from what I have seen locally and nationally it is a war on statues. And sadly, regardless of who or what the statue is about. Several statues have been destroyed or defaced that defy logic or a rational reason as to why. So based on that, a Franco Harris or a G.W. statue is not out of the realm of being a target. So I hope they are both safe and if I do get routed through Pittsburgh I will get my photo. :D

Oh and based on your response "are you fucking serous?" you seemed to be as surprised as I am to even think that is possible. I would think only Raider fans would want to take out any frustration. :P :P :P But it is a crazy world we live in. :(

Btw, to add a little context to my OP a statue of a Texas Ranger in the Dallas Airport was removed a few days ago.

Not saying we should burn down the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame, but the Rangers do have a rather nasty history. That could be the source of the removal (not weighing in on whether the statue ought to have been removed). Who knows.

Thanks PHW, I did a little research on that particular statue and found this article.

After reading the article I think it was appropriate to remove it. Interesting piece of history I would not have known about.

Don't we have enough cameras.... security cameras, traffic light cameras, private store cameras, drones that can fly over, etc... and the technology to track these idiots down?
That these criminals can be caught, arrested , do some time, community service, etc......... pay for the damage etc.

If the David Koresh Museum burned to the ground would it be just another example of life imitating art????? :ugeek:

There is a David Koresh Memorial Park that I think is open daily to 6pm. Oh I take that back it is a Branch Davidian Memorial Park.
